Where to start?
– HDD formatted via desk without a hitch ✔
– Check that all the necessary folders are on the HDD ✔
– Begin the process of Stereo Recording ✔
– Begin the process of Multi-track Recording ✔
– Took all recordings down into the Studio to verify they worked and to listen to the results ✔
– Repeated the same process several times – all good ✔
– Been doing the same thing over a 3-month period – again, all good ✔
– Come last Saturday, the 15th of June, plugged in the USB HDD as I have done many, many times before …
… waiting, waiting, waiting! One hour, two hours – nothing?
… still attempting to read the HDD. WHY?
Nothing has changed to prevent the recording process!
The HDD is FAR from being even close to being FULL?
Swapped out the USB Cable as a “just in case” …
The USB HDD could NOT be read by the desk? The very same USB HDD that had been working like a gem for several months; decided to ‘spit the chewie’ and stopped being recognised by the desk?
Does anyone have some information on what might be happening here … please!
