MIDI Out to Multitracks Playback App

Has anyone successfully gotten MIDI control changes to work with Playback app from dLive?

I can only get it to work with the Go button. Unfortunately this doesn’t work for what I need as it will trigger “play” whenever I make a snapshot change.

Current solution is implementing a Stream Deck with my MacBook.

Any insight is appreciated. Thank you!

I don’t know Playback, so I don’t know what MIDI messages it supports.

We have used a dLive SoftKey programmed with “Custom MIDI” to send a “note on” message to trigger playback in the app we use. Individual scenes can also have Custom MIDI assigned to them. It looks like Custom MIDI can contain arbitrary data, so if you dig into the MIDI spec you should be able to send any fixed MIDI message you want.
