Tagged: Desktop Networking, LiveTrax, MIDI control
Hi everybody.
I’m not sure that is the godd place for this topic, be nice to switch it to the good place, if needed.
I want to use LiveTrax for Harisson via a networked computer. The “recorder” (the Win7 Pro Computer with the LiveTrax, the DVS) is connected to the Dante Card of the MixRack, just near the stage.
At the FOH location, near my c2500, I have a second computer with the native windows utility “Desktop Networking”, and with this one, I can access to the Recorder, prepare tracks, launch recording, etc… This is working fine for decades, no problem.
But in LiveTrax, I want to use the functionality that communicates the name of the channel to the track of LiveTrax. For that, I’m using the Midi Control Driver v2.10 from A&H. If I’m using this directly on “local”, with a real monitor, keyboard and mouse connected to the Recorder, LiveTrax sees “MIDI Control1” perfectly, and everything is working like a charm. But, If I connect with the remote computer, even If I give full access to peripherals, ports, etc… the “MIDI Control 1” just dissapear from LiveTrax. Like if the “Desktop Network” just inhibits this driver when a session is activated.
May be I need to do something in the security settings of Windows ? Or is it a hiden bug of Midi Control ?
Thanks if you can help me,
Merry Christmas !
Franck
@Franck
Do you also have A&H MIDI Control running on the computer at FOH?
If so, I’m wondering if that instance is taking priority over the stage computer instance.
