Live trax and CQ20B

Hi all….Keith and co.
Regarding live trax use possibilities simple questions I hope based on my investigations into control surface/midimix controls for live mixing to FOH.

Is live trax purely an easy use DAW attached to various A&H gear and no other control.
Can live trax act as a control for the live CQ mixing for live performane (Same as mixpad)

My goal is the same as that that can be achieved using Bome midi translator pro scripting to integrate an Akai midimix controller, but using Livetrax as the interface as it states you can attach control surfaces with I presume translation/scripting/midi learn function.
Live trax is a lot less cost compared to Bome but Im jus asking anybody in the know if this is even possible befor venturing past the available documentation.

Yes, I have been investigating Bome and had promising results so far but there is a cost implication of course.

I’ve messed with livetrax some. My takeaway is Livetrax is primarily great if you want to just record all the tracks. Livetrax is not a daw, its a replacement for making recording all your tracks easy.

I’d suggest your better off with Ardour/Mixbus which is what LiveTrax is built from if you want to do anything beyond just recording all your inputs/tracks.

You can get a demo of livetrax/mixbus etc to see if it will do what you need.

Cheers. I already have Logic pro on Macs and studio interfaces etc bug am exploring options of external midi control devices and thd various interfacing apps/software options. Thank you, I wil try the freebie/demo option.
