    Ok, I’m thinking the virtual soundcheck should work like this, you enter virtual soundcheck mode, hit record, it records ALL input channels “Pre-everything” for up to 6 minutes,
    then you enter virtual playback mode all recorded material plays back thru the same channels it was recorded from, you make your adjustments to every channel, save the mix and exit virtual
    soundcheck mode, mix is now set up. No routing channels, no being limited to 16 recording channels, just simple! – Virtual playback over-rides the current inputs automatically.
    Surely this is what a virtual soundcheck should be?

    +1 this can’t be that difficult to implement

    Hi,

    We have just introduced ‘Input Patch Libraries’ to make this very simple.
    It is not possible to record more than 16 channels to SQ-Drive due to USB bandwidth, so rolling this all into one feature would be messy, as some would want to use SQ-Drive (16×16), some would use USB-B streaming and a DAW (32×32), and some would want to use Dante (64×64 @ 48kHz).
    Therefore, the way to do this is save one input patch as ‘Live’ and one as ‘Playback’.
    You can then use the new Tie Lines to patch totally clean post-preamp signals to your recording system of choice and then switch the input patching (without affecting processing) in just a couple of button presses.

    Hope this helps.
    Cheers,
    Keith.

    @mumu ,

    To access Input Patch Libraries, just press the ‘Library’ key when looking at any inputs in the I/O Screen 🙂
    (They work in the same way as all other libraries, the Factory options are 1-to-1)

    Cheers!
    Keith.
