I have a problem with my SQ5 FW 1.4. I hear distortions from all channels, gain settings are OK, PAFL shows it’s safe in the green field, levels on the channel faders are on zero, PEQ slightly modified, level meters OK. Even on the SQ drive multitrack recording I can hear it. Someone can help? Suggestions?
Hi Doando,
I once had that Problem on some channels. Metering was around zero, therefore green and ok – but signal was massively distorted.
I found out I had the Trim turned up at around 15db, and this caused the distortion. It seems that the Trims"gain" isn
t calculated into Metering.
All the best, Phil
Hi Doando,
Please forward your show file to us in a ticket and we can take a look at why this is happening. support.allen-heath.com
As Phil has said, a good place to look is the trim setting for each channel.
Thanks!
Alex
