My school has recently purchased the Q24, which looks really great. The issue is that I am unable to use the digisnake (AB168). I have checked that all input sources are set to Digisnake, but there is no yellow logo to indicate that the desk is recognising the digisnake at all, therefore i have no signal coming through to the desk. Can anyone help?!

Are you getting a yellow blinking light at the dsnake Cat5 port? Is the Cat5 cable good ? And are you connected to the dsnake port on the AB168?

No blinking light at the port. The cable is brand new so presuming it is good, although starting to wonder!

Do you know of any reason other than that as to why no link light?

    Thanks!

I have seen in the forum about dsnake port pins at the console bent or missed aligned.
But I would check the cat5 cable just in case first .

This may sound really stupid/obvious but: are you using the right port(s), is the AB168 even switched on/does it get power ?

Yes the blue power light is on, but no yellow connection light by the CAt5 cable…

Moving the stage box to near the console and swapping out the network cable for a known functioning, short cable is the logical first step. If you still have issues after this test, then I would reach out to your distributor for more support.

Also, just to cover all of the bases, be sure you are plugging the cable into the “DSnake” port on the console and not the regular network port. Be sure you are plugging into the “DSnake” port on the stage box and not the “expander” port. You can reference page 16 of the QU Reference Guide….. https://www.allen-heath.com/hardware/qu/qu-24/resources/

Hi brian, yes all in the right ports but I’ll try using the cat 5 cable direct from the box to the desk tomorrow and see if that works…

Thanks again for all of the kind help everyone!
