The Talkback Function is important, but only for some Setups. Many others don’t need such a thing at all because there is noone they could talk “back” to or because they are not so far away from stage they couldn’t just call by voice.
The Talkback Button is useless then and that is a little sad since there are so many handy Functions for Soft Keys and that button is at a nice central position of the desk so it could be very well used for things like a “Panic!/Break!” Mute All Group for example.
So what about making the physical Talkback Button to a Soft Key which by default is set to the “Talkback” Soft Key Function?
At least on SQ5 and SQ6 there should be enough FPGA capacity to support a 17th Soft Key – dunno if SQ7 is at the limit with this.
