connect more than two tablets for control

For more comfortable management, I would like to be able to connect more than two tablets. Is it possible to implement such an option? CQ mix pad the application is not very convenient in terms of operational efficiency. I really need three, and sometimes four tablets.

Why do you need more tablets? Would it improve the workflow?

In my case, yes. I have one of the musicians running the multitrack, another person on stage is a monitor technician, and in the hall is a sound engineer, and a person who works with background music in between performances.

I believe this is a hard coded/hardware network limitation. You can only connect two “full access” mix devices at the same time. You can connect several other “single buss only” mix devices in addition to the two “full access” devices, but those are obviously limited in their capabilities. This limitation is the same whether you use A&H apps, or other third party apps like Mixing Station.

I think the ability to connect more tablets would add more convenience and control to this mixer.

SQ has the same two “fully featured” device network limitation built in. I am not sure about the QU system, but I suspect there is a similar restriction. The SQ allows for more “single buss” devices, but caps out the total devices at 8 (including the two fully featured devices). The Avantis and DLive systems also have a hard limit, but it is so much higher that it really isn’t a problem for 99.999% of the use cases (I think it is at least 35 devices on each system).

I don’t know why A&H builds this into their devices, but given the fact that they seem to have made a conscious decision to handle it this way, I doubt we are going to see this limitation change on the CQ (or any of the A&H systems).
