Would it be possible to change the position of the insert point to be post comp?
I would prefer to use inserts more often at that point of the chain since I am using outboard a lot.
I think I read somewhere that it is not possible to switch the insert point position per channel because of roundtrip latency.
Maybe a global setting would work out so you could decide the position for every channel in general?
Of course only if the whole topic isn’t hardware related.
    Thank you!

This does seem like a great oversight on the part of A&H.
It is a VERY common feature even right back on analogue boards (A pre-post EQ insert switch). I am surprised there isn’t more fuss about this. (even if it is just a global option like the global DIR OUT tap point option)
It is a perfectly valid processing routine to want to post process the EQ or compressor output to remove compression artifacts or process the final EQ’d signal rather than the raw signal.
As Avantis has two channel insert points (one pre (A), one post(B)) then it is obviously a valid request that A&H deem Avantis users would appreciate, and it seems there is no reason why A&H can’t implement something like a user selectable tap point in SQ as they are (I assume) based on the same core XCVI engine. I’m not suggesting that A&H should encroach on Avantis with SQ by putting more insert points, all manufacturers have to tailor software features to their range structure to justify the price point and stop their own products undercutting each other.

It does seem a great omission by A&H from my perspective, Even the Behringer X32 has this function.

Lets hope someone with mix knowledge at A&H is listening and agrees.
