    Has anyone had issues with Dante VSC not working with an older Avantis firmware? I’m having an error on the Dante patching that seems to indicate that the console is not updated to work with the up-to-date Dante controller. See the pic.

    @alan Anheath

    In an Avantis with a Dante card fitted, there are three parts – the console, the option card carrier and the option card module.
    The firmware of the console and the option card carrier are related (the carrier will update automatically to match the console it’s connected to), but the firmware of the console and module are not related.

    What you see listed in the Dante updater are only the Dante elements.
    So in this case there is an update available for the module and you can tick the box to the left and then click on ‘Update Selected Devices’.
    This does not update the Avantis, just the Dante module.

    If you’re still having issues with your patching after this, please check that Dante devices are all on the same network and running at the same sample rate.
    You can contact us directly using https://support.allen-heath.com for anything to do with the console or option card or for anything relating to Dante controller or Dante VSC, please contact Audinate (https://www.audinate.com/support)

    Thanks!
    Keith.

    That makes perfect sense. I was able to update and get it connected. Thanks!
