I think you need to update the firmware on the GLD to 1.6 as well. https://www.allen-heath.com/key-series/gld-series/#tab5
The iPad app auto updates and isn’t backwards compatable with older firmware on the GLD80. We had a similar issue – very annoying.

Put everything except that one channel into a DCA and then mute or unmute the DCA.
I think the DCA can be assigned to a user-defined soft key if necessary.

That looks like a bios password prompt from a computer. Very odd to see on a GLD. I guess they are basically linux computers so possible I guess to put a bios password on if you can access the bios at all.

Yes. On the GLD, on the second channel that you want to be the same as the first, go to processing -> Preamp Tab and then in the box for ‘Source Select’ change the input socket to be the same as the other channel you want to replicate.

For the record, our is sorted. Turned out to be some incompatibility with the 64 bit version of reaper and the ASIO drivers. Not an issue with the card per se. Uninstalled Reaper 64 bit and installed the 32 bit version and it worked fine after that.

Hopefully that might help someone else out with a similar issue.

Might have to try the usb keyboard. I might actually use that. Quicker than typing names for channels when you have 30 odd to do.

Could you do something like this with the new Dante Via software? I haven’t played with it so don’t know if it would work for sure but you might be able to use Dante Via so the iPad is an output on your Dante network and possibly patch the pfl or some other buss back to your iPad? Worth looking into.

It’s been a week or 2 but I’m not worried. It’s for a church and we’re not dependent on it for anything.
I’ll probably follow up shortly and try to get a loan or replacement card. Be interested to know the outcome of your issues.

We had similar issues with a a Dante card. We sent it back to the supplier but haven’t heard anything back yet to know what the issue was. .

The DCAs don’t actually have audio routed through them (just think of the them as remote controls for the faders of whatever’s assigned to them). I think you can use groups or matrices to get a post fader mix.

I agree this is a good idea. I’d like to be able to use this to jump quickly to the RTA or input meters view. Quick access to FX racks could also be useful.
