    +1 on scene store/overwrite confirmation.

Happened twice now where someone with good intentions has accidentally overwritten our ‘default’ scene. We keep a USB stick backup just in case but still…

The mixer comes with a power cable.

The audioracks each come with a power and network cable (3m I think).

I think the only way to do it would be to have a stereo subgroup or DCA that you route the mono inputs to.

You’d still have to have the inputs on separate faders but you could bury them away on another layer

In the I/O screen, choose the IO Output tab. Then you can assign inputs/groups/matrices/etc to the Dante channels.

    Another feature request:

Can another soft key option be added to start/stop recording to USB? Or at the very least a shortcut to the USB GUI page?

Would make it loads easier than having to go through the setup screen which is a little counterintuitive.

It may seem a small thing, but it’s the small things that matter. It also means that this is an excellent console, if we are only suggesting such things :-)

I’m sure others can suggest other options for the soft keys as well?

    Cheers

With one of our USB sticks, it will only work if it is inserted before the desk is turned on. Might help!

Our distributor said that it is in the works and due around December. No substance to it apart from that, though!

Yes, Dante is the way to go. It does work on current GLD firmware (saw it on a demo this week)

You install the virtual soundcard application on your PC/Mac and then it’s just a case of a single network cable between your GLD and your computer.

You then need some software on your computer to record it, such as Reaper. I think anything that is ASIO (PC) or CoreAudio (Mac) compatible should work?

Reaper also has advantages for the volunteer environment such as being able to set up templates, macros etc to do what you need, although it’s a bit of a trick to set it all up in the first place.

Yes good point, applies as a result of the last paragraph I guess (using default scenes)
