HI, I Would like to know if its ok to apply a eq shelf , which lowers by 6 dB, everything from 20 Hz till 350 Hz. And then apply another eq, which will boost 6 dB between 60 to 70 Hz. (This is only one example, But I have more like this). My question is, can it cause any phasing, or any other potential problem. (Its like 2 filters working against each other)
    Thanks a lot.

From my point of view, this is completely ok.
You have to set your EQ to suit your sound requirements.
That phase shifts also occur is normal and in the nature of things.

    Why “Oh”?
What problems are you afraid of?
Any normal EQ will produce phase shifts and that’s ok.
You have a reason for wanting to choose these settings based on a particular sound idea, so you have to do it.
That is what the EQ is for and you will not get any audible phase problems from it.
You might be able to hear them if you mix the same signal together once with and once without EQ – but why would you do that?
