Hi!
I’m new at the SQ series (use a SQ6). I created some scenes with different patchings and routings – works great. But one thing is a problem: How can I store the mixer config into a scene? When I make some settings (i.e. Ip1 and Ip2 as stereo) so this mixer configuration is permanently. When I recall another scene – it’s the same mixer config. That’s bad. 🙁 Any fix or workaround?

This means that these settings are not saved as part of the scene system. You’ll have to save the current “show” file which saves these core settings as well as all the associated scenes.
The odd thing about the SQ series console is the fact that you can only store one show file on the console at a time. You’ll have to use the iPad app, or a USB drive (or connected computer) to save multiple show files and have the ability to load them into the console.
Changing the stereo/mono setting does “break” the audio as the system reloads the audio engine in the console. This is one reason why I think it is considered a “show” setting because it is not something you want to load/change during the middle of a live event (which are how scenes are designed to be used).

For this, it would be good to know what you want to do with it.
For example, you could set a certain maximum number of stereo inputs – e.g. 6 (from 37 to 48) – and then patch them to the corresponding inputs as you need them.
You could also link 2 (or more) channels together using ganging and select all attributes except pan.
The only thing to note is that gain cannot be linked.
I have attached a picture regarding your last question.Attachments:

Changing the stereo/mono setting of a channel is stored at the show file level which is a “higher level” than a scene file. This is why when you load a scene, it doesn’t change any of the stereo/mono assignments. The attachment that SQuser posted actually shows which settings are stored at the show file level and which ones are stored at the scene level. None of the settings stored at the show file level can be changed with a scene. Those settings will only be changed when you recall a show file.
Again, the SQ system is a little strange in that only one show file can be stored on the console itself. If you want to be able to save and load different show files, you’ll have to use one of the methods previously mentioned. Keep in mind that loading a show file will “reset” the audio engine in the console which means the console will completely stop passing audio until the process in completed. That process is measured in seconds, not milliseconds. This is why it is recommended that you don’t load a show file during an actual event because the console will effectively “stop working” while it loads the new show and resets the audio engine.
