A relatively easy feature request to accommodate (that has nothing to do with the units) might be to simply indicate (track/report) WHICH of the (many) feature requests in this forum ARE actually being considered for development, and why those requests were accepted.JM2C on that…

As Highflyer1953 says, with very few exceptions we don’t announce what we’re planning or working on.
In short (more detail in my post on the other thread), this is because there are lots of reasons a product might get delayed, or a feature might not make it into the final release of a firmware. With regards to the feature suggestions here though, every one of them is logged and the most popular (possible ones!) are all considered and investigated further in R&D.
We tend to only jump in if something is absolutely not possible. Thanks,

Back in the day, when I oversaw technical development as a SaaS PM/PO, that service really helped guide the “market feedback” aspect of our product development much better than a collection of “feature request posts” on a bulletin board site. Our users felt heard and empowered to contribute, without requiring any firm “commitments” on our part as a company. It was a win-win-win for everyone involved. Regretfully, most manufacturers keep their own development philosophy and tracks brick-walled from the community that’s actually purchasing and using the equipment, and for very good reasons. But doing so really throws into question the value of user feedback in general; and when your user community turns on you, watch out. Being new to THIS community, product line, and company, it seems clear to me (a former tech PO/PM) that A&H’s project development vision and roadmap are FIRMLY established; and while A&H may be “sensitive” to user-feedback (i.e. they have this online forum), the product development itself is not particularly “responsive” to deviation from the established flight plan. Being the type of person I am, I ventured into “user suggestions” specifically to experience the results from the community and company; which taught me everything I need to know about the situation I find myself in with this product and manufacturer. And that lesson is: Time for me to get back to using my CQ-18T “as designed and delivered” and stop troubling myself over what I wish was different; and I look forward to incorporating whatever firmware updates actually make it to market. Thanks again for a great product and for at least having forums like this. Many companies don’t even offer that much…
