Having sidechain on every input is great, but allowing to tap the sidechain from a socket would allow to have inputs for side-chain not routed to input channels, and then allowing for more inputs to mixes and avoiding lesser important inputs or inputs that don’t need to go to mixes (ie drum triggers or click) to fill the input channel count
