I’m an old school DJ, came back to spinning after a number of years out. I’ve never used Fx, so can someone tell me should I leave the giant FX knobs on wet or dry when not in use please?

I’m surprised that turning these knobs without and FX in the loop increases/decreases gain

    Cheers

The giant Fx-Know are Dry / Wet potentiometers.
X:FX – Is an externa- FX-Loop System (Send & Return) With Dry/Wet potentiometer for each channel.
You can connect the Xfx send / return with external Equipment for effects or looping.
Reverb devices, delays, samplers etc. can be fed directly from a channel, the signal is also brought back directly to this channel!
The EQ can also be applied to the effects, and what’s more, the filter can also be applied to the signal in the X: XF loop at the push of a button – this in fact only generally to all channels in which the filter is switched on.

For example, i use with an xone PX 5 an Alesis Air Fx for effects.

Same question here, why does it have impact on the sound when NO effect applied ? Should it stay dry or in the middle ?

Also on of the buttons LPF/HPF/BPF is always activated/lit, no way to deactivate?

    thanks for an answer
