Normally when I forget* what socket I put something in, I have to go up to the stage to see where it’s physically plugged in, then maybe poke through the I/O screen at FoH to make sure I’m remembering how I setup tie lines, and the whole thing would be a lot easier if I could just meter the sockets and see which one’s getting signal.
*This is easier to do than you might think when stuff’s bounced around with tie lines and broadcast doesn’t notice they aren’t getting something until five days after I did the actual patching.
