Can "Select follows PAFL" leave the channel selected afterward?

The current implementation of “Select follows PAFL” de-selects the channel after PAFL is disengaged. Is that a behavior that is helpful to anybody’s workflow? I think in most cases I would prefer that the channel stay selected when PAFL is disengaged.

For example, if I am working on channel processing I may engage PAFL to listen to it, but then I often want to keep working on the channel while listening to the entire mix. But the way things work now I have to select the channel again.
