Unfortunately I don’t think it’s currently possible, but I would love to have that functionality.
Today I had to spend time undoing and accidental overwrite on one of my templates.2024/03/12 at 9:04 am #120239+1
2024/03/10 at 5:37 pm #120185I understand all of that but it would be nice if we could actually explore the factory presets from demo mode.
They are unpopulated in demo mode which means…. well I can’t actually demo much of the product.
I’m not looking to save anything at this point, although it would be nice to be able to prepare sessions on a product that’s in backorder.
I’m just trying to recall the FX presets, stock template sessions, simple channels etc.
I can’t seem to be able to do any of that in demo mode, and that’s a little unhandy.
It’s not a full demo of the GUI.
I guess it’s not a true offline editor in any way either.
That would be nice to have, I’m sure many would agree.2024/03/05 at 4:30 pm #120034+1
2024/03/04 at 8:44 am #119966I can see how this is useful but I’m afraid it’s a bit of a risky feature.
Since this is a knob you’re likely to give a big turn when using it for other functions, a mistake is easily made (shit, thought it was still controlling the delay send) and whoops, you’ve raised the master by 20dB.
Like always, I’m not against adding this as feature for professionals and skilled people.
I’m generally against ‘dumbing down’ professional products, just because amateurs might operate them.
Don’t hinder professional users of professional products, better to create additional ‘novice’ modes.
In this case it’s the other way around. It seems to be a product aimed at amateurs with some professional use in mind, so I’m just saying: be careful what you wish for.I’d see less risk in permanently assigning one of the smaller encoders to master fader duty.
That said, as a professional sound engineer, the master fader is among the controls I use the least. It’s mostly set and forget.
Then again, I usually have groups and DCAs at my disposal, so in this product I can understand the desire to have the master fader control handy. This product should obviously be amateur friendly.2024/03/04 at 8:18 am #119965Awesome, thanks!
2024/03/02 at 3:52 pm #119922This would be nice but I’m not sure if it’s possible with the SD card.
Since my unit is on backorder, can someone please tell me if it’s possible to playback a backtrack whilst recording at all?For instance: backtrack from USB stick/thumbdrive or SD card whilst multitrack recording (including the backtrack) to computer via USB B?
Or even: playback of a stereochannel via USB B whilst recording the show in multitrack (again, including the backtrack) via USB?Would be cool!

2024/02/21 at 9:03 pm #119652Update: I just saw on the CQ&A that you can actually choose any of the FX types for any of the four slots, using the ‘folder’ library button on the top right of the screen. That’s nice.
This doesn’t work on my iPad however. the list of things to choose from is blank for both the user and factory tabs.Attachments:

Make it independent of the compressor please.
Maybe make the gate switchable to a deesser mode
Ideally one could change the order too.
Or perhaps choose between several modes on both dynamics processors.
Expander, gate, ducker, compressor, deesser options on both dynamic processors perhaps?
Also please add two or three subgroups to allow for additional processing.
Am I asking too much?
Would be a allround winner if it’s possible to do some more pro processing with it.
If you’re doing AMM and 16 auto feedback notches, I don’t see why you couldn’t add some functionality like this.
I’m thinking of buying one.I was looking for the DeEsser in the FX slots on the CQ Mixpad app but I couldn’t find any way of even swapping out effects. Are those fixed or do you need the actual unit to swap out effects engines?
Thanks
2023/09/29 at 7:28 pm #115257Yes I would like it too and while you’re at it please add slope control to the neq12 shelves and to the PEQ shelves.
2023/09/29 at 7:24 pm #115256Yes agreed this is annoying.
For this reason I have to do workarounds to be able to have a stereo master bus with a bus compressor but mono matrixes behind it for L R C and S.
Very annoying. If you send to a mono bus from a stereo send, you should have a balance control.2023/08/05 at 7:47 pm #114039Speaking of Q: slope controls for the shelves please!
