Thanks for your input Jedifyll. Just had a little play with the desk and I think I’ve realised the issue.

It happens when the rotary is assigned to be a Main Level Fader and is set to any channel (but notice that there is also the option of ‘Current Selected Channel’). If you set the rotary for example to control the gate threshold of the ‘Current Selected Channel’ it will switch off when there is no channel selected. This makes perfect sense. However if you choose to control the gate on a specific channel, it always stays on, with or without a selected channel.

I think this programming is missing on the send level fader function. Should be an easy fix on the next update.

P.S. maybe I misunderstood you, but for me the rotary always works, its only the screen and backing light that reset. Check to see if you are actually also loosing functionality, my guess is you’re not šŸ™‚

YES! Also voting for a detailed RTA with some options such as hold and decay and averaging over time (1-10secs). The Current RTA only follows the 28 adjustable bands and jumps around so fast its impossible to accurately tune a room.

Even better if it be a full screen tab on the Ipad so we can see really a lot of detail!

I’m guessing your monitor mix is post fade? Otherwise you could just split the input of the the snare and have that channel just going to monitors, easy.

If you are mixing monitors post fade, (I dont know QU well, but on SQ I would:) un-assign the snare from the monitor mix and route it into a spare group, send the group to monitors only and use the group’s PEQ/Graphic to make the changes needed in the monitor without affecting Main LR. You could do this with as many channels as you want without affecting the others that are going straight to monitor.

I do this with some microphones so I can use the Graphic EQ on the group to ring out some nasty onstage feedback without affecting the general monitor’s EQ for other sources.

Sorry if none of this applies to QU, i’ve never used one.

“Ok finding directions to Bob’s ‘Hike’ and outdoor goods store, Colorado” !! lol

Copy and paste names would have to auto-add a number 2 to the first copy, then 3, 4 ,5 etc

I would second that. I really need an simple mode which is customisable. I have an assistant which also does my simpler shows and he is old school (as in controlling volumes and nothing else)

I have setup 1 layer thats just for him with a simpler surface, just important inputs and a DCA for all outputs and another DCA for all FX.

Thats all fine until he hits the aux mixes by accident and is now controlling what looks like his mix but it isn’t going anywhere. Maybe the answer is just disabling Layer and Mix selection in the utilities. That would be excellent!

Maybe only slightly related but I’ve lost my scene button. In the same way as descibed about the Layer C button, except that I havent been patient enough to wait and see if the SQ lets me have it after a while. But the fact that I have a softkey to store current scene, that also isnt working makes me think the entire scene program is not working.

    Anyone else?
