I came on to start a thread about this but it seems its been done 🙂 I would also like to add my +1 to having a stereo width control on all stereo busses.

    Possible applications:
    1. Stereo instrument group panning intensity – Things like a drum bus or a multi-mic choir could have multiple channels running into them with panning that are pre-set by the engineer in a stereo image they like. The stereo width could then be adjusted in the group bus to suit the room/PA in use for instances where too more or less panning is needed, but without having to adjust every channel individually.

    2. Quickly Mono sum a stereo aux – e.g. you’ve got 2 wedges in stereo and you loose one side, you might want to mono the bus up so as not to loose anything thats panned.
This would also essentially allow busses to be switched between Stereo/Mono between scenes if needed rather than changing the config for the whole showfile.

+1 for more colors. I had the idea that on the color picker screen, we could press and hold a color and it would bring up a color spectrum bar, or a Hue and Saturation control. Make a color and save it into the block we chose. We can then keep that there and recall it in the future.

I think the normal restrictions on a user apply exactly the same to the mixpad as they do on a surface.

+1 but cant replace anything, probably in a perfect world would get its own half of the screen on the insert tab. A lot of space in there.

+1 Yes!! And in the menu you can choose which colour for LR, Aux or Group. Just like we can choose chromatic meter colours. Guessing its RGB so any colour is possible.

Yes to finer adjustment on the touch and turn – especially delay, I need to use the iPad to move in tiny increments! so it can do it, just not on the surface.

I get what they’ve done with the EQ. We shouldn’t need to look to EQ because it should be in the ears, just like using an adjustable PEQ on an analogue desk. Thats why they’ve made it move a lot with a small touch I think, so we can hear a difference in a tiny turn of the wheel. Then when we need to actually do some micro-surgery on the sound we go in and use the touch and turn. I like that approach and am trying really hard not to look at the graph, as my OCD likes to make nice looking EQ curves too much 😛

+1 certainly if a touch will un-route something else, I would like a warning first. It’s too easy to press, and unpatch something else that you didnt realise was there. Maybe a zoom function on the I/O page so you can see an overview too.

the LEDs with green at centre is great for working quickly.. but yeh, a value in the screen where the pan is located would be great.

Agree with Guma, although I love the idea that was suggested of a fullscreen expanded channel. But I like seeing 8ch overview to quickly check on input gains, compressors and gates all at once. Please dont loose it!

    +1

But also it would be great to have an online mode, to be able to have live meters on the computer screen or even to be able to run monitors on a laptop with the ability to assign keyboard keys to quick functions. 🙂

Soundman007 Actually you can send a mix to Matrix post fade, just like sending a channel to Aux pre/post fade.

I have Mains going to Subs and Front Fills post fade so that the the levels follow the main fader.

Gyuri, whats going on with you? My soft buttons have always been fine. Do you know you have to have a scene loaded before the soft key to save will do anything?
