There is only a certain number of midi messages available and it doesnt stretch to every parameter on every channel. Remember every single parameter is x64 (48 ch, 12 mix, 4 master/mtx)
They cant do everything so people need to be specific with what they want to control so A&H can see what our priorities are
+1
+1 to this. Midi control over all the SQ drive functions would also be awesome!
+1 if it was implemented it would be 2 way because its always the same message in or out from SQ
Love the mix buttons showing mute idea! I wonder whether the FX are only blue LEDs or if they have RGB like the 12 mix keys do to show group/aux colours.
Anyway.. +1
Also if this gets done could it have a midi control please 🙂 to be able to toggle mono/stereo mixes with a button (see thread on Studio Monitor Control)
Put your +1 on the stereo width control thread. If that control which a lot of people want implemented had a midi address attached to it then a softkey or external midi button could be used to toggle mixes between mono and stereo.
Dim button is already possible using midi on the SQ.
+1 definately
Oh! nope, I’ll shut up now 😀
Thanks that was the fastest feature suggestion addition to the desk ever! haha
+1 for a patch steal warning! 🙂

Lets put this energy into asking for a Deep EQ insert emulation of an SSL channel strip or something similar. I agree about not looking at the graph. When I see my guys hesitant to EQ something I know they want to because it “looks” too extreme, I throw a piece of paper over the screen for them and tell them to carry on. We’ve got classic compressors already lets have some classic EQ. Not Pultec cos they are too subtle for live but something like an SSL channel strip plugin would be awesome!
This was an entertaining read. @nottooloud I totally agree and I use the scene recalls in the same way and would also love a button to store to a specific scene.
a massive +1
+1 for this. The mixpad needs upgraded to be able to do absolutely everything which it doesn’t currently do.
The SQ-Sb just needs to be the back panel of an SQ5 in my opinion, nothing more nothing less. really hope it happens!
+1 for more colours. Sometimes the dark blue and red make it hard to read the writing.
I do think if there was an RGB spectrum picker you would also need to be able to save the colours into colour presets or you wouldn’t be able to duplicate the same colour over multiple channels and it might get messy, and that is probably asking too much.
However definitely some more shades would be nice to see! 🙂
