What exactly do you want to achieve?
2013/10/18 at 2:29 pm #35309+1.
I reckon that a limited amount of instances would be available due to limited processing power.
2013/07/03 at 9:47 am #34342Waw, nice! Very nice!
The usual questions of course…
- is a version for PC foreseen to appear?
- will the iLive MIDI implementation be completed to allow all parameters to be controlled via MIDI?

laptop, TP-Link TL-WR1043ND2013/06/10 at 5:49 pm #34179If there’s potentially a big difference between main mix and other mixes, i would consider feeding two channels for each drum mic, so you can make a completely independent mix that works fine. Run those channels through a stereo group and mix those to the matrices that need it.
Be careful with FX, specific drums FX for the extra matrices should be routed to the group as well, rather then the main mix.

Thanks for the info. That also answers my question if there was a hardware restriction, which there isn’t.
Any chance you might consider adding this possibility to the firmware?
I mean, adding the possibility of patching to ACE1 port ch33-64 and also listing the ACE1 ch number next to the surface out…
I’m quite sure that I’m not the only one that might be interested.
ME is very interesting, unless you’re obliged to buy and install an extra Dante Card and a ME-hub.Especially for people that already work without surface. Quite sure, you’d create an extra market for ME-1 users.

Fixed format iLive does not allow to route any audio to the integrated ACE port (except surface local I/O, PFL and TB). You can use ME-1 on Port A ACE of modular iLive though.Nicola
A&HNicola, in the news section, I found this:
https://www.allen-heath.com/UK/News/Pages/NewsDetail.aspx?NewsId=672quote:
An iLive iDR-16 MixRack was employed as a system management hub for the multiple ME mixers, using the Rack’s MADI interface to connect to the main monitor mixer. 40 channels of MADI fed the iDR-16 giving access to a full blown iLive DSP system if adjustments were needed to the MADI stream.
The iDR-16 was controlled using iLive Editor leaving the ACE connection free to feed the ME-1’s.How does this go with what you said earlier?
Since a fixed rack only has one slot and this was used for MADI, this seems that the integrated ACE-port was used, isn’t it?
I’m very very interested!!If this works out-of-the-box, I would strongly consider of connecting my surface via network and use the ACE-port to drive some ME’s !!

laptop, TP-Link TL-WR1043ND2013/05/24 at 4:01 pm #34054I am not really a fan of the comparison stated in the support article.
Audinate themselves state:
“Dante uses standard Voice over IP (VoIP) Quality of Service (QoS) switch features, to prioritize clock sync and audio traffic over other network traffic. QoS is available in many inexpensive and enterprise Ethernet switches. Any switch that supports Diffserv (DSCP) QoS with strict priority and 4 queues, and has Gigabit ports for inter-switch connections should be appropriate for use with Dante.“Whether the switch or router also has a wifi part or not shouldn’t really matter.
There’s virtually no risk of Dante trying to go wireless as they prevented the Dante Virtual Soundcard from “seeing” the wifi interfaces on a computer.Wouter

laptop, TP-Link TL-WR1043ND2013/05/21 at 10:46 am #34010I have some MIX-SELECT-PAFL softkeys for some monitormixes.
When I’m not entirely sure, I’ll quickly activate and deactivate this monitormix and it always returns to the main mix. (not to loose any softkeys)Also note that the the encoders above the channels (for pan/gain..) will most likely not be lit when you are in a mono-mix, which has also helped me before…

Originally posted by MontejoSS…Pc or mac’s ip address should be 192.168.1.10 …
If the Mixers IP address is 192.168.1.1 and there’s no other gear with the given IP address on the network, then that will work but it’s not a rule.
The IP address should be in the same subnet for a direct connection and not the same as the mixer’s IP address of course.
I work with a router with DHCP and that also works perfectly.

Anthony, I was wondering. Would it be an option to organize an iLive user day, somewhere in Europe?
This forum has proven its value, but i think it could be a good thing to bring your flagship users together one time so we can learn from one another.
Anthony, what do you think about the question to provide MIDI specs for all functionalities of the iLive?
Would there be any chance or is this not feasible in the current architecture or lifecycle status of the product?Wouter
