We ordered one from A&H, the given delivery date was end of feburary, a week ago we got a note from Audio Technica that the delivery will be delayed for two weeks. So maybe it’s possible to order at Rock Shop, but they won’t ship it earlier than anyone else ;-)

    Regards to Hamburg,

    @ Musikhof
iLive Training is generally done by Audio Technica / Mainz. They surely can help you, Product Manager for A&H is Markus Sinsel.

It’s a known problem with all digital consoles, that some usb flash devices don’t work. I have a SanDisk 2gb which works fine.

    Regarding the statement of abstractnoise:
It is not a good idea to use two surfaces on one mixrack, for this config you’d need two mixracks and two consoles.
But for what luces is planning, the setup with R72, iDR32 and a Laptop / Mixpad is great. The tricky part is, that you only have one PAFL-Bus, so if you have one engineer for FoH and one for Monitors, they have to share the PAFL, if one hits the button, the other hears the same thing. If you’re a touring band with an foh guy and you do your own monitors, the above mentionend config is fine.

The M50s of AT are great Headphones, I own a pair and really like them. Dave Rat who most of you know I suppose, had a Headphone Shootout in his blog, you may want to read it:

https://www.ratsound.com/cblog, then select “The Mighty Headphone Quest” as Categorie

For mixing Liveshows I mostly use a Sennheiser HD-25 though. It’s the Headphones I “grew up with” and always come to in live situations. This seems to be a “german speciality”, since every second engineer I know ’round here uses or at least owns one of those. In turn, most sound people outside Germany seem to prefer different phones.

You can choose the position of the aux, Post-PreAmp, Post-Gate, Post-EQ, Post-Comp and so on…. You can do this seperately for every aux.

Spool :-) The amount of cable is too small to have a roadcase on its own and too big to just put it into another case with other cables.

    Hey Ray,

we use 100m SommerCable Cat.6 (Mercator). Never had any issues concerning networking between iDR and Surface.

    Hey Mats,

when you’re in mix config, you are just choosing the bus-type feeding the FX. The FX-Return (or Input FX as it is called in iLive) is stereo. It’s just done like in the “analog live” world, where you ususally use one mono-aux to feed an FX-Engine.

    Regards,
    Thomas
