I know about the logic behind it, but as I can gang all other parameters – why not the (internal) Inserts? Or – as in a lot of other desks – just link the two “machines” working in neigbouring busses?

I did exactly that, as long as there are only DIY-Solutions the QU16 or QU24 will remain the weapon of choice for small monitor-setups 🙂

Not good, since I work (like most people I guess) with a mixture of “Standards” and “Specials” for my bands.

When tapping the tempo, for example a 1/4 Beat, on a soft key, the LED of the Key needs 4-8 Taps (depending on Tempo) to get to the right Tempo. So your optical “delay control” is really running behind your normal workflow. This is pretty annoying since I’m used to the iLive-Delay where this is no issue at all.

Sorry for the poor english 🙂
2011/09/05 at 3:27 pm #29254ThomasLParticipantAll iLive-Systems in SingleRack-Mode can handle 64 Inputs and 32 Mixbusses. BUT the Direct-Outputs of the Inputs are separatly available. So Yes, you can record all 32 Inputs of your iDR32

we had the same issues. We had our screen changed by A&H Service – no more problems since then.

the cheapest way – you got 8 Outputs on your R72 (4 x TRS, 2 x Phono, 1 x SPDIF (Stereo) – use them. The second way would be to buy a MMO-Card and some cheap ADAT Extender like the Behringer ADA8000. The third would be renting an xdr16 and an ACE-Card for this Tour.
But always consider, that time moves on. I wouldn’t buy an idr16 if I had tours coming up. With an idr32 you have the ability to do twice the In- and Outputs – and the price isn’t THAT high. Just consider it. If you have the Outputs available – you find ways to use them

With the DCA-Faders you only affect the faders of the channels assigned to that group. With the Mute-Button you affect the whole channel as one, including all Busses (Group, Aux, FX) this Channel may be mixed to.
