1. Go to the I/O page and patch the Main LR to all output pairs on the local console.
— or —
2. If you want independent level controls, then use matrix mixes, and set the Main LR to feed the matrix, and route those to the outputs, giving each output its own level control.
2023/10/27 at 9:50 am #116072For the two outer bands, you can have them act in 1 of the three modes each. The high and low are independent of each other, and they are also independent from all other channels on the mixer.
2023/10/26 at 11:07 am #116023No, the CQ-20B only has a single headphone out. The CQ-18T has two.
2023/10/26 at 11:01 am #116022Yes, go to the “Routing” page, and on those Aux mixes, push the “Aux Send” button and select the pick point for that aux.
2023/10/17 at 10:58 am #115772There was another user here on the forums that had a similar problem, and they had to try several brands of USB sticks before the mixer saw the image file. So if you switched USB sticks, but they are all the same brand, try another brand.
2023/10/16 at 11:46 am #115737The CQ’s WiFi is far better than many older routers and access points, and definitely much better than the built-in WiFi on competing units. I’ve had no issues so far with the onboard WiFi, and even when I’m in my shop which has 3 other commercial grade APs of mine in-use, as well as many others from neighboring devices. I can still easily go 50′ to 60′ away and in a crowded area with many obstructions in the way (no line of site), and still have a good connection to the CQ. Out in the field it is even better.
Even the Bluetooth on the CQ seems to get better range than many other devices I’ve worked with. 🙂
I have the CQ-20B and CQ-16T and both have exceptionally good onboard WiFi.
2023/10/16 at 11:27 am #115736Enabling both isn’t quite as simple as it sounds. The problem would be that the internal DHCP server would also need to be switchable. If connecting to a network with a router or other DHCP server, it would need to be switched off, otherwise it would need to be configured to hand out IP addresses on the LAN port too. An even bigger issue would be that if you disabled DHCP for a gig, then tried connecting to the mixer’s WiFi without having a router attached to the LAN port. With no DHCP server, your device wouldn’t receive an address which would require you to manually set one in your mixer’s default IP address’s range. Suddenly the simple CQ becomes much more complex. I suppose that you could auto-detect the presence of another DHCP server then auto disable the internal server if one is found, but then there’s the issue of when you switch it off, and have already connected devices. The addresses on those devices will be wrong. The whole thing is quite messy and above many people’s knowledge level.
I believe A&H wanted to keep CQ extremely simple, and user friendly, so the above reasons are some of why it is they way that it currently is. I’m not saying that it shouldn’t be done, but it would need some other options enabled in the UI, and people would have to understand when and how those should be set.
In my opinion it is much easier to connect an external router with WiFi, and then switch the CQ to use the network port.
2023/10/16 at 11:05 am #115733My CQ-20B is plenty loud at the default level, so you either have a problem with the unit, or you may have a PAFL button engaged somewhere.
2023/10/16 at 10:53 am #115731Don’t mute the channel, instead turn the fader all the way down. Also make sure that your tap point is somewhere before the fader (I don’t recall if CQ can even be set post fader).
2023/10/16 at 10:39 am #115728Dante is a digital signal, so therefore you only have trim, and no gain.
2023/10/10 at 2:58 pm #1155641) The mixer starts up in the last state that it was in.
2) ATM I don’t think there’s a way.2023/10/09 at 11:04 am #115539So, could the 18t inputs get damaged if you don’t use a DI box?
No, but the instrument won’t sound quite the way that it should. The most noticeable difference, will be a loss of high end content. It is best to properly match the impedance, for whatever you are connecting to your mixer.
2023/09/28 at 11:43 am #115203The Avantis uses the dLive Dante card, which has its bridge control as a physical switch on the card between the primary and secondary ports.

2023/09/20 at 1:40 pm #115004I changed my mixrack and surface from their defaults quite awhile back. IIRC I think that I did the mixrack using director, and then changed the surface to be part of the new subnet.
