Exactly the same, I was gonna bring it in and update everything, but now I don’t want to touch it.
2016/06/27 at 2:33 pm #56813StrokerREDParticipantIt had been consistant until this last gig this weekend. It connected and stayed connected the first time, all night. I hadn’t changed anything from last week to this week. No updates of either the app or the board. Very odd.
2016/06/20 at 12:43 pm #56714StrokerREDParticipantQu16, I believe I am still on 1.8, I’m using a very old asus transformer tab.
2016/06/15 at 6:08 pm #56631StrokerREDParticipantThere is no password set on my mixer. It connects for about 6 seconds then says it lost connection and asks to reconnect or ignore. I just say ignore and I can continue to operate the mixer but I don’t get any feed back on levels coming back from the mixer.
2016/06/15 at 1:10 pm #56620StrokerREDParticipantI’ve been having the same issue, I just ignore it and can control the board anyways. But I get no feed back from the desk as far as levels go or anything like that. I don’t keep my Android tablet updated like I should so I thought that might be the cause.
2016/02/04 at 4:26 pm #53725StrokerREDParticipantI’ll be looking forward to the update, I just left it disconnected and I could control the board anyways, but I couldn’t see any level meter feed back which was no bid deal at the time. With it reconnecting in the background without a warning popup it should work much better.
The app saves me buying a new Ipad now that version 1.8 no longer works on the original Ipad.
2016/01/25 at 1:56 pm #53542StrokerREDParticipantI used the app this last Saturday night, it worked fairly well, but it would pop up with a message saying it had disconnected from the desk and ask me to reconnect quite often. If I just hit cancel I could still control the desk but I got no feed back from the desk. The level meters wouldn’t show anything but I could still change the levels on each channel.
Also the Send/fader button was confusing at first, I would like to have all the mixes listed seperatley down the right hand side so I can get to them in less presses. But that’s just me, otherwise looking good and it could replace the Ipad in my setup.
2015/08/10 at 10:47 pm #49758StrokerREDParticipantThanks guys, I’ll look into it next time I get a chance. Hopefully it’s something simple enough…
2015/08/10 at 8:57 pm #49752StrokerREDParticipantNo problem.
1- its a 1/8 inch to rca cable to a rca to 1/4 plug, coming out of an old android phone, into channel 16. I could hear it when other bands were playing also. Not just MP3.
2- It’s a DBX 234xl. Xlr’s from LR of the qu16 to inputs on the DBX running stereo out for mains but mono for subs. XLR’s to crown power amps for mains, then one xlr to left sub input, one xlr from left sub output to right sub input. All cable lengths are the same for mains, 25 ft to left sub, 25ft to right sub.
3- Speakon Cables out the back of the crown power amp XLS2500 to right and left mains. 50 ft. then daisy chained to top Main with 3 ft speakon.
4- Polarity it is then
Thanks

I played a show last weekend with a band that’s been around for 30 years, we were opening so we plugged into his system. Just an analog peavey board, very basic. He had every fader set at 0db and then would mix the band by turning the gain up or down until it sounded right out front. (hint hint…it never sounded right) He had no idea what he was doing at all. Now a digital board that would set itself up by typing in what brand and model mic you are using and assigning them to each channel would be good for a guy like that. It still wouldn’t ever sound right, but it might get him a touch bit closer, and would for sure buy into the hype…
2015/07/20 at 3:30 pm #49335StrokerREDParticipantI’m using the Qu16 both live and in the studio, so far just to record band practice. I used it as a replacement for 1818vsl also. It’s way more intuitive and easier to make separate mixes for monitoring and outputs. I have not done much to determine the quality of the mic pres, but for what I have done, just recording practices with dynamic live mics, it sounds just as good or better. Setting it up with the Ipad should me no problem and then saving it as a scene called recording and everything should stay right where you left it when you go from live to a studio environment. I record directly into Reaper and it’s pretty seamless, didn’t take long to get it all set up and sounding good.
2015/04/16 at 7:56 pm #47049StrokerREDParticipantIt will make me very happy, along with a few others I am sure. I don’t see it on Google Play yet…. any official word besides the Facebook?
2015/04/11 at 3:12 pm #46797StrokerREDParticipantI have thought about used Ipod touches, and that would be a good solution. Until you meet my band…lol. Keeping track of their personal phones is hard enough, let alone a Ipod, and then a whole other level of keeping it charged! ha ha. An android QU-you app would just make it that much easier…
2015/04/10 at 8:51 pm #46777StrokerREDParticipantGreat news! I ended up buying a used Ipad for less than 150 bucks to run the QU-pad app. But getting everyone in the band to switch to an Iphone would be like pulling teeth and not worth it for the Qu-you. This will be great now that we are also slowly switching over to in ear monitors.
2015/03/17 at 8:29 pm #46020StrokerREDParticipantI for sure would like a QU android app, even if it were just a Qu-You version for setting monitor mixes between band members it would be greatly appreciated.
