I would open them up and replace them if they haven’t been replaced yet. My iLives are also 10 years old and I needed to replace the button batteries for the bios in those. Note they are hard soldered to the main board and once re[laced there is a procedure to boot up again! Something to do with the screen correct resolution. Info should be available on this from your supplier or A&H support.

On my T112 I took an extra step and put a remote battery holder so that replacement if needed again can be done simply.

    I use is a stereo XLR-3.5 cable.

Be careful with that one – Phantom power is a Phone killer! Use a stereo DI

Personally I’d have preferred some Combo Jack/XLR connectors on Avantis to solve these input cabling issues.

The Demo mode doesnt remember any levels on aux’s. It works as expected when connected to the iLive.

Have you tried reloading the same template or another show when it is in the fault state? Could perhaps be internal battery is getting low and dropping settings when off for a few hours. Could explain why it reboots OK as the battery will have charged slightly while it was on.

Midi-Ox will convert data for you. Might be tricky to install in windoze 10 but I believe it can be installed. Also Midi yoke or loopbe for virtual (internal) midi ports.

You COULD use an X-Touch if you have conversion and midi patch software to do the conversion of custom messages to/from the dLive. I did it in Logic for a Mackie control to work with iLive but it was a LOT of work! MUCH MUCH easier to just buy the IP6 and IP8 controllers!!!

In the SURFACE tab just drag and drop your mix/aux channels on any layer or position you like.

Check your DCA’s arent Scene safe. Also check DCA assignments aren’t scene safe in your scene safes window.

Running 1.30 on a 2011 17″ MBP and have not noticed lag on processing.. However the I/O window behaves very strangley and laggy when tring to use the touchpad. Perhaps that is fixed in 1.31?

How much Ram do you have?

First record your current PATCH to a backup scene and name it “NORMAL”? Store the Patchbay only to the scene.

Make a “RECORD” patch scene with all your patching so that your inputs all get routed (outputs page) to the Dante card. Again – only store the PATCHBAY to that scene and nothing else.
e.g: Whatever your input 1 is – IDR Mixrack A-1 for example on Mixer DSP Ch1 > output patched to Port B Ace 1 (Dante ch 1)

Then set up a “PLAYBACK” scene – again with ONLY the patchbay included that has your Dante returns patched back to the same input DSP channel (Use quick Input select):
e.g: Dante Ch 1 (Port B ACE 17) set to DSP Ch 1’s input, Mixer DSP CH 2 would be Port B ACE 18, etc

Now recalling the RECORD scene will have all your inputs routed to Dante and you can record. For Playback recall the PLAYBACK scene and you should get all your audio returning down the correct Mixer DSP Channels. Do your virtual soundcheck making adjustments etc. When you are happy store a new scene with STORE ALL (or add the scene sections that you need recorded) now recall your record scene or Backup NORMAL scene to correct the patch back to live inputs.

Re using 2 x IDR32 – I think you will have other issuses such as with head amp control on the second IDR32 if just patched together unless you have them in Extended Rack mode (128 Ch).

A computer UPS backup supply plugged into your mixer will give you time to stop/save the recording when the power goes off.

As an iLive owner – dLive is great but to big and heavy, and GLD doesn’t have enough processing channels. So I’m stuck also.

Also a good idea to feed your mains from a matrix even if just via the main L/R buss so that your FOH processing/ EQ doesn’t affect the recording feed. Bypass the Main L/R processing and use each of the Matrix’s processing instead.

Ha ha – Yep PAFL is there. Only had a very quick look at the app so yay for that feature!
