We had a very similar case to TJ’s made by a builder here in Milwaukee. It’s a hinged lid instead of a full pop-off lid, and it also has a pull-out handle for easier movement.

We’ve had our console for a few months now. One of our other guys has had a couple crashes, but they’ve been related to scene storing and USB stick issues. I haven’t personally experienced any crashes, and the console has been rock-solid for me, even in button-heavy situations.

    My general tips…

Only have a USB stick inserted when necessary, and when you remove it, be sure to wait 10 seconds after you perform a USB function before removing it. Premature removal can cause the console to get finicky.

I don’t use the on-board recorder, for the simple reason that I want to avoid USB stick errors.

Keep your scene names short. They’ve reportedly fixed this issue, but you never know!

And above all, keep your cool! Just like kids, digital mixers can smell fear!

New twist in my trials to get Midi Designer working…

When I was trying it out before, I would teach Designer via the fader for channel 1. Since I never got it working, I left it at that (moving physical fader would make virtual fader move, but no control via virtual fader). A few days later, I tried it again with no luck. But for kicks, I tried it on an Aux fader as well. That didn’t work either. But to my surprise, both the virtual fader I assigned to the Aux fader AND the virtual fader I assigned to channel 1 would BOTH move when I moved either of the physical faders.

    Any thoughts on that one??

I’d be cool with that… I’ll even get the ball rolling.

    See attached…

Thanks for the assistance! I was able to connect to the console and have it teach the commands to MIDI Designer. Once done, I’m able to move the fader on the mixer and MIDI Designer reflects the change; however when I move the fader in MIDI Designer, no change happens on the mixer. I do have both in and out MIDI cables hooked up.

Anything silly I might be missing? (FYI, using a Mac and running the Audio MIDI Setup).

Would it be at all possible for you to put up a few details about your configuration and how you set up your codes to work in Midi Designer? I’ve been playing with it on and off for a few days and haven’t had any success (I’m no MIDI guru!)

Has anyone written a control program with TouchOSC, or any other iPad/iPhone/Android compatible control program?
