@fab Thanks, but I am primarily looking to set up some matrices.

So I just downloaded the MixPad editor to my computer. This is one of the options on the App. It is wonderful. Please add it to the SQ, please?

I have seen this post before, and have also made the same mistake. I noticed the other day that the currently selected mix is displayed at the bottom of the processing screen, though almost unnoticeable if not looking for it. And, obviously, you might not always be on the processing screen. So I had the idea that maybe it could be displayed between the “Next Scene:” and “S-Link” at the top of the screen, with name and color of the mix. I guess it would need a label as well, like “Current Mix:” or something like that. I’m not a fan of the blinking LED, or light bar color change, but a more obvious indication would be nice for us non-pros.

Turns out it was my mistake. I had the filter set to not recall SoftKeys. Oops.

@peterlanders, I know the manual says that. I will have to check again when I get back to my board, but I think it cleared them. I am running v1.4 and will post back to confirm.

As far as why, it might be unique to my situation, but different locations/application.

    @mfk0815 that’s a great idea. Thanks!

I agree. There should be more color options added to the scribble strip, like changing the text color. Then you could use the black background, and have blue or yellow text. It sure is a nice board!

@Bracumba, you might want to add your voice to this post if you haven’t already.

New2SQ did you mean GEQ instead of PEQ?

No. It’s been a while since I graphed it, but the 2 major frequency problems I have to deal with are in between the bands of a graphic EQ.

I did a little leg work for this. Here is a snippet from dbx’s Feedback Eliminator AFS2 (which I have contemplated buying before we got a digital board that can accept plugins, hint, hint).

…with filter Qs up to 1/80 of an octave.

    …and so I searched for Q to octave and found 1/30 octave = 43.280 Q (Octave/Q conversion). A little different.

“It should be an optional *recall* setting, so if I want to recall the scribble strip, I can.”

    Perfectly said!

It should be an optional save setting, so if I want to save the scribble strip, I can.

“Mic choice, speaker placement and good tuning”

    Yes, I agree. Unfortunately I have a building/system that was built/installed in the 1980’s.

“Ring out the monitors and sound system”

That’s what I want to do, just not with a band from the PEQ.

I would like a feedback plug-in that has 2-4 filters with a very narrow Q to hone in on the those problem frequencies. I don’t care about auto seek-and-destroy.

The numbers was just for an example. Have you never set up a vocal on a certain fader, then decided you want it on a different fader, or maybe even a different layer?

you can freely assign any channel to any place on the layers

Yes, you can already do this. Being able to use the copy and paste buttons to do this would be quicker than drag and drop.

It doesn’t even have to be auto, but make a feedback eliminator plug-in

Absolutely a must have. The scribble strip needs to save! And an option for routing would be nice too.

Would be nice, but I doubt those leds are RGB
