Isn’t a matrix a mix of outputs? i.e. its a way of getting a different mix combining existing outputs such as auxes, groups or mains without using any additional buses? Therefore you can’t send inputs to a matrix as that would require another bus (works the same on analogue desks too).
2012/02/15 at 2:36 pm #30238I saw the GLD live today at the BVE in London, and although the unit I saw didn’t have a finished firmware version and the GLD 80 its self was pre production, I was very impressed. I really liked the touch screen way of assigning inputs to faders/mixes (I thought the iLive was easy to use – but this looked even easier). Can’t wait for the actual desk to be released!
2012/02/06 at 12:01 pm #30181the desk its self would be nice, but it would be nice to get more of an idea what to expect. I’m just impatient.
2011/06/06 at 9:05 am #28509had it on one of our surfaces – the LCD’s needed to be replaced
2011/05/12 at 9:07 am #28210In your dca’s are you muting groups or the inputs?
for our mute groups we assign inputs to the dca’s, this mutes at source and therefore would mute it to all groups and aux’s it is assigned to too. you could still assign the groups to other dca’s (there are 16 after all) so that you could run as stage only for say sound checking then press the other one for when you need to hard mute
2010/03/19 at 8:52 am #25335My understanding is that a matrix is a ‘mix’ of outputs, so you wouldn’t be able to send an input direct to a matrix – i believe that this is also the same in the analogue world too.
2010/02/15 at 2:52 pm #25203I have asked this before but is there some sort of release schedule as to when we can roughly expect the next ‘big’ updates?
Also is there an upcoming features list (without having to read the 11 page forum post!) that shows what you are working on and what revision of firmware we might expect to see it?

2009/09/09 at 11:55 am #24644We have also experienced this issue with our newer 1.5 Ghz board
2009/09/03 at 11:12 am #24629We had this issue when we first installed our system, and we ended up using a standard LR set up and then did the other speaker outputs on seperate matrix outputs. Doing it this way also has the bonus of not wasting a bus (you use up 4 buses on a LCR set up!). []
2009/08/20 at 11:11 am #24568My point is more that I don’t want to waste the ganging on doing something that could be done in the mix rack configuration (Surely its just a modification to the mix rack page?)
2009/08/19 at 9:20 am #24554So thats a no then, is it possible to get it to happen on a future update as it seems to be a really useful place to have the sig gen?
2009/08/17 at 8:22 pm #24536Would it be/is it possible to make it so that you can assign a stereo channel from any point, even on an even input? i.e. 1-3 = mono, 4+5 stereo, 6-11 mono, 12-13 stereo, 14 mono, 15-18 stereo…etc
Also mp3 playback off a usb via the fx channels would be good.
2009/07/09 at 9:09 am #24414There isn’t anything currently on the download page, maybe its on a hidden section of the site?[]
2009/06/02 at 10:47 am #24349I would like the ability to play Mp3’s off of the USB stick
