• Latency in the wire would be measured in microseconds or picoSec. Even a 140Km fiber optic system I operate between two cities only has a round trip time of 1.4mS.

You have learned how wonderful the AB168 is. Since you are a portable setup like I run at church, you may like my band-on-a-cart. I zip tied the AB168 to a cart and installed cabling…[Read more]

  • Sorry I am late to the party/discussion. I have great success with a low power FM transmitter for hearing assist. There are a couple of options for receiving. Many brands of smartphones have FM tuners built-in and then they can Bluetooth to a hearing aid or earbuds. The other option is a pocket FM receiver. We use this brand since they are…[Read more]

  • While you have made an investment is personal monitors, I would highly recommend providing each person with a mix output from the Qu32 (4 mono and up to 7 stereo) let them control the mix (channel levels, eq, comp) with the Qu-You app on a smart phones. Some just use an old phone (no SIM) and wifi and leave it in their instrument case.. Band…[Read more]

  • I’d break it down in order narrow down were the problem is. Connect the AR directly to the GLD using the trunk cable only to first confirm the A&H components are not the source of the problem. Assuming this works fine, I would re-introduce the two switches and associated extra jumpers required, but I would complete a factory reset on the…[Read more]

  • Is the a way to downgrade the Qu-Pad app to 1.8? My iPad auto-updated back in May (my mistake). Most of the band use Qu-You for Android and so I have not upgraded the Qu-24. I would like to get the iPad operational again.
This is not a rant. I am amazed that all of this software is available at no charge and publishing apps can be a real pain.

  • What are the chances that A&H will (soon) release a small digital mixer at a low price to compete with the Ui12?

  • I have a QU-24 and am using it in a church setting. I have been using the mixer for 6 months and have learned to use most of the functionality. It is wonderful to have such a powerful mixer.

I am having trouble with one feature. The music team inputs are assigned to channels 10 to 21. I am able to complete a multitrack recording starting…[Read more]

  • I have been configuring and operating a Qu-24 and AB168 installed in a church setting since October and it is fantastic! It replaced an old mixer and snake without enough inputs and outputs to properly set up a band with appropriate monitors. I just got my hands on an iPad and Qu-Pad and I am amazed. Thanks A&H.

    On to my request.
    I would like…[Read more]

  • I have a new QU-24 and am getting excited to put in production in a church installation setup. I want to power it via a sequencing power bar daisy chained to the one controlling the amplifiers. Of course, I fully expect someone will power down without first shutting down the QU.
I searched the forum but did not find much discussion on this.…[Read more]
