Hi Keith,
I don’t really understand this story of an expender !
moreover, unfortunately, there is NO expander on the SQ.
On other consoles, analog gain is one of the parameters memorized in the scene WITHOUT stagebox connected.2020/03/15 at 10:32 pm #90303Sure, but we could have imagined that the gain and the 48V command be memorized in the scene, stagebox connected or not.
2020/03/15 at 7:22 pm #90301I saw the same experience, and also thought it was related to version 1.4.4. However I realized that the scene which had more than 48V, did not have the good gain either. However I remembered that modifications were made on these scene, but WITHOUT STAGEBOX connected. And there indeed the scene is memorized WITHOUT 48V and a gain not in conformity. And so it will not be restored when we reconnect the STAGEBOX.
2019/08/28 at 3:58 pm #86099You ask us for an opinion, I give you my feeling. For now I use a Macmini 2014 i5 2.6Ghz, 8GB of RAM and 500GB SSD with the SQ. And I record 40 channels 96Khz with Reaper in addition to playing 4 tracks with QLAB. It is not a problem.
So 20 tracks …..2019/08/27 at 2:12 pm #86070I will answer that it is enough that it has USB2 (since anyway the SQ is in USB2), and an internal SSD. So any MACBOOK pro from 2011 by putting an internal SSD in SATA, will do the trick.
2019/06/19 at 2:37 pm #84707Hello,
You are completely right. I’ve already crashed scenes like that.
Fortunately now in 1.4, we can save the scenesThanks
2019/06/08 at 9:49 pm #84452I’m afraid not !
2019/05/29 at 2:24 pm #84076Hello,
On a SQ5.
I have two questions :
– Are scenes created in 1.3.2 compatible with 1.4 ?
– Can we go back to 1.3, if too many problems ?I have a show next week, as everything is now working well, and I use a lot of the Midi scene recall, I’m afraid to discover too many bugs.
Yet I can not wait to try it.2019/05/19 at 12:35 pm #83917+1
2019/04/18 at 8:39 pm #83419+1 I agree
2019/04/10 at 9:13 am #83263Hello,
Same opinion as my predecessors, I have a Macmini 2012 equipped with an internal SSD and I record 32 tracks in 96Khz on a external SSD with REAPER in USB3 over 3 hours without worries. This Mac also serves as a player with QLab. I preferred not to convert 96/48, and lose some space on the disc.If you want to save worries, and money, do not do the 96/48 conversion by the Mac CPU.Do it afterwards if necessary.2019/03/14 at 7:54 am #82660I agree, something has to be done to lock this I/o patch. Because curiously when you scroll you have to touch the grid side (instead the top or left side), so it is very easy to modify the patch. This is mandatory ! Thanks
2019/02/07 at 7:20 am #81805I made the same experience (Presonus recording-> SQ5) , without any problem of speed. I also use Qlab,to read a playlist were all audio files are in 48Khz, and in the same time I record 32 channels on the same USB . I have understood, that the SQ is looked at 96Khz , so my opinion about that is, it is your computer/software who need to do the conversion. I use Reaper / MacOs . But if someone can confirm.
2019/02/06 at 6:41 am #81786I too, come from the Presonus world (studiolive 32) that I had for 10 years, and through the forum, I waited 1 year for the SQ versions to stabilize. Now I have an SQ5 and I record 32 tracks on a Mac mini 2014 and a SSD without any worries for 4 hours.Caution at 96khz the weight of the files is very heavy.I am very satisfied for the moment.
