I ended up googling the different models and in the end just listened to them… it’s a super broad spectrum of flavors there…

Not sure the correct terminology, but essentially what he said: “parallel processing” but routed only to your aux8 and not to FOH.
Ex: if you were using 16ch for FOH, you could (theoretically) duplicate those 16ch for livestreaming and just not route the dupes to FOH.

As far as I can tell, the hardware investment to get Waves to use with the SQ is gonna be around $2-3k… not including the plugins.
a UAD Live rack will be a comparable investment through Dante, and you already are invested into the Dante system…

to me, it’s a big investment for what I’d consider to be a small % improvement to the sound quality from what I already get from what A&H provided already, and while MBC is cool and all, even the LiveRack version I’d have to use on a submix, I have a hard time justifying the cost both monetarily and the expense of a rack slot…

I’d imagine they’ll be looking for ways to increase our rack slots soon to compensate…

Has anyone purchased them? I see it as impractical, given how much I love the results I’m getting from the other compressor models. And even so, in this application I don’t see them being more than a buss processor I don’t need.
