Wanted to say I upgraded firmware from an admittedly well out of dat 1.4 to 1,95 and it seems to have fixed the noise issue for me. Atleat based on one evening’s use. I am fond of my Qupac, makes a great compact home studio mixer but the noise issue was driving me bananas. Thought I’d broken the speakers. Anyhow all good just now. Thanks
2021/08/11 at 12:31 am #102863The belkin takes a wifi signal and outputs a stereo signal. There are on amazon other similar devices. So the output wold go to the RCA jacks on the Q and then you could send your phone or iPad signal via airplay to the mixer. That is exactly what I want to do. Its a reasonably affordable device but I also had a spare apple tv device sitting round with HDMI output so I ended up buying an HDMI to RCA converter. That will plug into the apple tv on one side and the QuPac on the other. The Belkin is a better solution, although only 2.4 GHZ but $100 more than what I have gone with since I had the apple tv doing nothing.
The belkin is available on amazon

2021/08/09 at 12:27 am #102812I wish there was another answer to this question, which I see has been asked several times since 2014. Apple stopped making the airport express years ago. Recently I changed out my apple network for netgear and I’m reluctant to add back one of the old slow airport expresses in case it slows the whole network down. I could try it I guess but there is a lot of maintenance already.
Yet streaming airplay material from device to device is what happens all over the house right now,TVs, smart speakers, the big Marantz amp. Would like to be able to stream from the phone or whatever to the QuPac.

Thank you. To be honest I had never heard of the DAW control driver and at least as far as Garage Band went had survived without it. I’ll check it out. I may run the QU pac into the MOTU. It did sort of occur to me, but I hope I don’t have to do that, klunky and takes up a lot of space.
2017/03/01 at 10:29 pm #61712thanks for all the advices and suggestions.
@ Giga: Thanks. I think if I wasn’t playing that is the way I would go. A subwoofer will have to be added to the system I guess.
@ Airickess: The party is indoors
@ Necos: I am in Sydney Australia and not New Jersey. If it goes badly I may move to New Jersey
@ Dick Rees. I am hopeful of getting a good result for a duo or trio, although its true I haven’t mic’d drums before. I’ve had the Qu-pac for a year now and yes there is a lot to learn even having had a small Mackie before. I think for 8 people with me being one of them though you are right on the money. And I will be out of money. Such is life.2017/02/26 at 5:45 am #61610I think I am having the same problem.
I am recording interviews via an iPhone to podcast. The iPhone is connected via stereo cable to ST1. ST1 is assigned to channels 15 and 16 in the Setup/IO patch page. This works for recording to a Mac via USB but doesn’t show up on the Qu-Drive/multitrack page. I.e. There is no meter activity on these channels.
Very frustrating. Have I done this right? I am on firmware 1.9 rev 4537 if that matters.
I guess I could get a stereo to mono cable and go via one of the mono channel inputs.
Any advice appreciated.
2016/09/28 at 9:03 am #58448All works reasonably well now thanks for the help Andreas. Of course it can still be done much better!
2016/09/27 at 1:16 am #58428Yes now I have the phone line out to 13+14 and mic in on 11. This seemed to work well the first time but that may be because the phone transferred to the computer (mac handoff) without me realising it. The second time it was a complete failure. Still that should work shouldn’t it?
2016/04/10 at 10:30 am #55013Andres, thanks that did the trick.
A nuisance to lose 2 channels due to a GarageBand flaw but that’s ok for now.
Just out of interest how did you work that out?
Anyhow thanks gain.
Dave2016/04/10 at 3:02 am #55011Andreas,
Thanks for that. Yes I checked the interface, restarted the computer, makes no difference. There is some other issue. You can see from “Ratchets” post above he had the same trouble and tried the same solutions with no success. Guess I’ll have to find an alternative to GarageBand, shame because I only have simple uses for it.
2016/04/09 at 12:26 pm #55007I have this exact problem. I cannot get GarageBand to output audio back to the qu-pac. I can record to garage band, I can get iTunes audio to,the qupac but not GarageBand audio. Any help much appreciated.
