Hi,
This now resolved and we have an extra floor monitor setup through Grp1-2 as a mix. Yah !!!

My other question now is can you send an FX1 to a GRP1-2 channel. This one also seems to have us stumped
as both FX1 & 2 (Send) & (Returns) are raised to unity, but without any FX coming through. A bit odd.
Or is this a specific FX insert that we need to apply to it.

Hi guys
Thanks for the replies. I actually had a rehearsal today and had a bit of a fiddle with it, but had some issues trying to get it to work. I see the expander lists the extra 8 channels in the routing area but not the extra 4 x outs. I did what you mentioned Keith and set up GRP 1 as a mix. I got that far but couldn’t work out the rest. I’ll have a look at the video tomorrow Keith. But it would be good to have a step by step on this one written down somewhere. I’ll keep you posted

I understand what you are saying, but with respect, the board components will have already been pre-assembled & pre-fabed in a factory in China
moved down to the next line for assembly and then fitted off as they do with most of this stuff similar to IT hardware. There’s a lot of “similar”
examples of componentry like this, albeit not exactly the same, but similar for way less. I just think the retail $ price of this piece of “add-on”
for extending your QU32 out to be able to properly access the last 8 channels is way over the top, just my 2c worth mate !
Maybe A&H should have built the AR2412 with an extra row to accomodate the QU32 ! & called it the AR3216 !
now that would have been smart eh 😉

Thanks everyone for your responses, looks like we should keep using the onboard factory effects rather than causing ourselves grief by adding the MX300. My only wish is that the library of effects on the QU32 improve somewhat from the “dry / empty” ones already on there. I guess I’m looking for a nice sweet sounding reverb & delay that 3rd party plugins offer. Some decent development could improve this area.

Thanks guys for your input, very insightful & interesting opionions. BTW, no other channels were activated with phantom power at the time of troublshooting the issue. I think there’s some voltage testing we need to do by the sounds of things. I just find it quite bizzare for such a great microphone & a pity we cant use it on this particualr desk at present. Appreciate your inputs.
