    Thanks, @steine, that’s a clever workaround.

Here’s another case. All day festival that I do every year. 15 minute sets with 5 minute changeovers, and no soundchecks or advance tech info. I may not even know all the instrumentation until the band has started. I want a stereo channel. I can’t prebuild stereo and only use one side, because I can’t be sure where I’m going to need it. Maybe it’s keys stage right, maybe it’s guitar from the 4 or 5 DI lines downstage.

I understand that there are ways to make stereo, but I haven’t heard any convincing argument for why gain *isn’t* in gang.

I think it is fairly unusual that you would want to change stereo pairs to mono and back again on a per scene basis. Can you give some example of when you need to use this?

One band has stereo keys and the next band doesn’t? Doesn’t strike me as unusual.

Linking persists across scenes, and requires loading a show to change it. No bueno. Why on earth would they exclude gain from ganging? @keithjah?

This only happens when I turn on the SQ-7 last. Any ideas?

I don’t mean to be snide, but don’t do that. Power amps are always the last thing on. This is why.

we just drop their mix (Fat channel) on whatever mic (input channel) they’re using that week.

You could also just repatch their current input to the same channel, and not have them in a different place on the mixer every week.

I’m curious as to why you’d want to? They can’t be moved to another mixer.

You mean copy an entire strip assign to another page? I like that idea.

Mixing Station isn’t the answer to this until A&H upgrade the SQ network stack. You can only run 2 instances of Mixing Station before it overloads.

    What’s your clock source?

Perhaps the SQ is assigned to SQDrive instead of the USB outs.

Qu can do it. @keithjah has indicated that they might be considering it for SQ. For now, Dante or a Waves card are needed for redundant recording.

Did you patch the Dante feed to your inputs, or just set it as a receiver in Dante Controller?

You could bring it in the ST 1/4″ inputs. I’m not sure you’d gain anything, though.

SQ can do either USB out *or* SQ Drive. Qu can do both at the same time.
