Hi Ray,
If you password protect your User Profile, you will be prompted to enter the password when locking / unlocking the surface.
2014/02/18 at 11:58 am #37783V1.31 and higher support Broadcast Wave (BWF) files, WAV64 files and generally WAV files with non standard headers. This should ensure that WAV files rendered / exported / consolidated with popular DAWs such as ProTools can be played back on Qu-Drive, provided they have valid sample rate and bit depth (44.1 or 48kHz, 16 or 24-bit for stereo playback; 48kHz 24-bit for multitrack).
Selecting an invalid file will now display ‘Unsupported file’ and disable the Play and Stop transport buttons.
2014/02/18 at 11:19 am #37775Hi Thunzie,
You didn’t say what you are using the ACE card for. ACE and dSNAKE don’t offer any facility for recording I’m afraid. You might consider switching to the M-Dante or M-Waves modules for this, depending on your application.

2014/02/16 at 4:33 pm #37755On a fixed format iLive, the only way you can get Dante + Aviom is by running two xDR expanders off an ACE card in Port B of the iDR.
Have you considered switching to our ME-1 personal mixers? These would take a Dante feed from your iDR-48 via the ME-U hub, plus you get channel names from the iLive and up to 40 channels to play with (which means less groups and buses wasted at FoH for monitoring duties). You can start by getting a ME-1 as a drop-in replacement in your current Aviom system, get familiar with it, then later swap the analogue console for a ME-U hub.
2014/02/13 at 10:02 am #37715Hi Macky,
I’ve seen this before and it sounds like you missed the last few steps of the ‘DAW Control Setup Notes‘ instructions for Logic. These steps prevent the raw MIDI stream from the mixer to interfere with the Mackie Control messages. Make sure you connect all incoming MIDI ports to the Monitor object in Window / Environment.
Hope this helps.
2014/02/13 at 9:58 am #37714Hi Chris,
As long as you use a Layer 2 Fast Ethernet switch you shouldn’t have any issue with this. Some Layer 3 protocols (typically found in managed / smart switches) might interfere with the dSNAKE traffic.
Hope this helps.
2014/02/11 at 3:52 pm #37692ust to be clear, “Direct Output” routes to the USB-B connector on the back of the mixer, to the ME Personal Monitor Via the D-Snake and also to an Effect, if the Effect is set for a single channel. The insert point is global. Meaning if it is changed, it affects all of the above.
Not quite. At the moment:
Direct Outs (follow global option) go to the ME-1 via dSNAKE, and can be patched to the FX.
Ch Insert sends (fixed pre processing) go to Qu-Drive Multitrack and USB B.Hope this helps.
2014/02/11 at 1:10 pm #37690With current firmware V1.2, the Direct Out option does not affect Qu-Drive. Qu-Drive multitrack recording is sourced from the channel Insert sends (pre processing as detailed in the block diagram), so what Martin is reporting is strange. We cannot replicate here.
A global option to select either Insert sends or Direct Outs for Qu-Drive is on our list for future firmware versions, as posted elsewhere in this forum.
2014/02/05 at 7:55 pm #37620GLD Remote does not follow the mixer strip layout. It’s designed to be an independent control. You can set two Custom Layers in the app with a combination of channels or DCAs you want to control. However these are stored locally in the iPad and thus unaffected by Scenes.
2014/01/30 at 10:11 am #37527Hi Alan,
Just to say that there are also some options in between. Some are hooking up third party MIDI controllers with Editor. Others are happy with one or more PL-6 / PL-10 remote devices which you can connect to the iDR MixRack and configure in Editor. That’s the beauty of iLive.
2014/01/29 at 4:54 pm #37518And remember users are free to upload their presets on this Community site for sharing with others. In fact some presets are already available in the Qu libraries.
2014/01/29 at 4:53 pm #37517V1.3 (to be released soon) will give you patchable USB outputs so you can set USB out 1-2 to be your Main LR.
In the meantime any other DAW should give you input source selection for your tracks. Try Reaper.2014/01/28 at 11:19 am #37479Hi all,
Some good news from our side: Windows drivers are now in development and looking promising thanks to some hard work in R&D.
It’s early days to give a meaningful ETA but we will update on progress by the end of March. -
