    Hi Asanch,

In the Avantis I/O screen, ME tab, touch on any output ‘socket’ number and you should see an option to link odd-even pairs. This will link the two outputs so they only take a single key on the ME-500.

    Hi Librarian,

DT168 currently supports DDM when connected to a dLive, Avantis, SQ mixer or AHM-64.
Note however that the DT Preamp Control app does not support DDM at this stage.

If you are having trouble getting the DT168 working in a Dante domain, please open a Support ticket with us at support.allen-heath.com with info on your setup, DDM configuration, and please confirm firmware versions of both the DT168s (both the control firmware as reported in the DT Preamp Control app, and the Dante firmware as reported in Dante Controller), and your Dante card (both the control firmware as reported in the dLive GUI, and the Dante firmware as reported in Dante Controller).

It’s possible the firmware update has reset the clock settings.
What are your clock settings in the dLive, and for the card?

    Everyone,
We are getting close. We were hoping to target June, but we’re still an estimated 3-5 weeks from release. Currently bug fixing and gathering feedback from beta testers. Stay tuned for more news in July.

    Hi Alessio,

The SQ Dante card can send and receive AES67 flows. If your Ravenna device has an AES67 profile, you should be able to send/receive audio using the Dante card.

The ‘stuck on update’ issue is a known V1.10 bug. You can power-cycle the console safely, check the version and if the update has failed, restart the firmware update process. Once updated to V1.11, you won’t have the same problem updating to subsequent versions.

V1.11 should be out soon, however the fact the mixer was not freezing when disconnected from the network points to a possible network conflict. Was the recent freeze just with iPad and router?

Before downgrading I would suggest opening a ticket with our Support team, giving as much detail of your network setup as possible. IP address and subnet of mixer, router, and any other device on the network, also DHCP range of the router or server.

    Hi Anthony,

No, input to zone assignments are not covered by the protocol. However, input to zone (crosspoint) levels and mutes are. To the end user, there is little difference between an assignment and a crosspoint mute, so the workaround is to assign all required sources to the zone, and use crosspoint mutes to control which sources are active.

Anthony, what Steffen means is that the TCP protocol gives you a set of commands in the form of hex strings, that can be sent to the AHM-64 TCP port to control or get parameters. This can be used in several ways:

    – You can use a packet sender application or write your own. You can probably find open source projects on GitHub or similar.
    – You can implement these strings in a Crestron / AMX / Q-Sys / Extron control system or similar. For Crestron and AMX we offer sample modules on our website which can be used as a starting point.
    – You can use the A&H MIDI Control driver to interface the TCP protocol with MIDI-enabled software such as Qlab or a DAW.

If you are looking for a simple way of controlling AHM-64 from a custom user interface, make sure you check out the Custom Control app as well: https://www.allen-heath.com/custom-control/

The name of the Group is Audiotonix.
There is absolutely no plan for Digico to take over the dLive segment, nor for dLive to be EOL any time soon.
    Development will continue beyond V1.9.

    Hi Slammin,
Presumably you have already ruled out cables? Test with a short STP cable if you have a chance.
Does the error light persist if you remove the switch and connect a ME-1 directly to the GX4816?

    Hi Josh,

    This is definitely possible.
Make sure you’re running the latest Avantis firmware from https://www.allen-heath.com/avantis/#firmware
Select the ‘Scene Controls’ function for a SoftKey and ‘Specific Scene Recall’ followed by the Scene you like to recall.
Next, check that your SoftKey assignments are Safe in the Scenes / Global Safes screen. The template Shows default to Safe for all SoftKeys, meaning their assignments will not be affected by any Scene recall.

Also check the ‘device to device’ patch in the Waves software e.g. SoundGrid Studio. This is the network layer patch (equivalent to Dante Controller routing for example) and should default to 1:1 from the Waves card to the SG Driver and vice-versa.

    Hi Chris,

Virtual Soundcheck only changes the source of the Input channels on the local system (dLive in your case). The Tielines you are patching to the Avantis are taken straight from the preamp sockets, and thus don’t follow Virtual Soundcheck settings. If you were to patch Direct Outs to the Avantis, those would correctly follow the Virtual Soundcheck, however that would be less ideal for a FoH/Mon split, since Direct Outs are post Digital Trim at a minimum.

So in short, the best solution with your hardware is exactly what you suggested – create a ‘live’ Scene and a ‘virtual’ Scene that change the patch to the Avantis. Another option would be to fit an extra Dante card to the Avantis (either in addition or as a replacement to gigaACE) and have Virtual Soundcheck configured on the Avantis too.
