this document gives some insights on the scenes and shows

I’ve read this a few times, still not completely clear. What gets stored in the surface? What gets stored in the MixRack? When using more than 1 surface or a surface and Director, when I store a scene, do the scenes in the other surfaces get updated?

I understand there are “surface only” recalls, but does that apply to director too?

Could use a lot more detail on the specifics, especially what exactly is stored in the MixRack and what is stored in the surface(s)/Director.

One more thought… if you had a MixRack full of scenes, and plugged in a surface with no scenes, will the MixRack scenes populate the surface?

Once mix rack began accepting TCP Midi connections again, I was still able to recall scenes that way.
-> So the data appears to survive a power cycle.

Interesting. I always figured it DIDN’T store scenes because the iPad app doesn’t allow storage or recall of scenes.

So, when you store a scene using a surface, does it store into the surface AND into the MixRack? Can these get out of sync so that if a surface is connected with a different set of scenes than the MixRack, and you recall a scene using MIDI/TCP, which scene gets recalled?

Is there any official documentation on how scenes and shows are stored on the dLive system?

So, does the MixRack have scenes on it’s own then?

All I can find is the old 1.50 document.

Is there a new midi protocol document available somewhere?

there is no capacity for cues or custom buttons to be triggered

    MAJOR blunder with the app.

The ideal mobile solution is a surface pro running director

    Until you lose connectivity.

I’d like to see A&H step it up, but likely the limitations are baked into the design. That would answer why the cheaper SQ iPad app is far superior.

You were going Dante into your MacBook in both cases?

What was your pick point from the channel to your Dante Card?
Use the tie lines or make sure Global Direct Output Source is set to “Post Preamp”.

Likely the channel settings are changing the tone.

There’s new modules for the QU and SQ series. Download the beta build to use them.

If you have companion, use my module (dLive-iLive) and create actions for the function you’re looking for. The log screen will show you the correct MIDI strings.

Just use MoOde. There’s no reason to look at anything else.

If you need any help getting MoOde up and running, let me know. It’s a game-changer.

I can’t find the Avantis MIDI/TCP protocol information, like the ones available for the iLive/dLive/SQ, etc. Where would I find that document?

The updated version is available on my web site.
Haven’t heard boo from anyone so maybe it works ok!
