I’m not sure why A&H even have a USB record/playback system in their console. It’s completely useless.
Save yourself some anguish and don’t use it. -
Mr.X replied to the topic Sending Midi from scene to control Waves Multirack in the forum dLive General Discussions 2 days, 1 hour ago
Use Method #1.
https://www.waves.com/support/how-to-control-multirack-with-midiNo custom MIDI required. The dLive spits out a MIDI PC message that should match the Waves MIDI format on Scene change.
https://www.allen-heath.com/media/dLive-MIDI-TCP-Protocol-1.50.pdfYou’ll need to download and install the A&H DAW driver to convert the TCP MIDI…[Read more]

It’s currently called “DAW Control” (but SHOULD be called TCP MIDI driver)

Mr.X replied to the topic Limiter on TB channel in the forum dLive feature suggestions 2 weeks, 2 days ago
Hah, okay that is funny. Why not the ability to select an aux too?
Why not add PEQ while we’re at it?
What are you talking about? Of course you can select the aux.
TB has everything needed except a limiter. -
Mr.X replied to the topic RTA overlay on EQ in the forum dLive feature suggestions 2 weeks, 2 days ago
As usual, Behringer beats everyone to the punch on features.
They have RTA not only on eq, but on side chain and filters as well. Clearly this is something that every console should have, if even Behringer can do it. They know how much everyone loves that feature, so they even expanded…[Read more]

Mr.X replied to the topic Storing Shows in the forum dLive troubleshooting 3 weeks, 2 days ago
I see now why MixPad can’t store and recall scenes. They’d have to be stored in the iPad and there’d be too much data going back and forth.
That’s really too bad.
I wish that all the settings and parameters were stored in the MixRack. The surface could store it’s layout (fader banks and surface settings) if needed.
Kinda like the way the X32rack,…[Read more] -
Mr.X replied to the topic Storing Shows in the forum dLive troubleshooting 3 weeks, 3 days ago
That is the most confusing system I’ve ever seen.
Parts of shows scattered among different parts? Hidden scenes? Aye Carumba. Hopefully this could get sorted out better in a future update.

Mr.X replied to the topic Storing Shows in the forum dLive troubleshooting 3 weeks, 3 days ago
f the Dlive is like the iLive, you cannot access the show files on mix rack from the director software….
Director software only looks at the local PC for show files, whether recalling or saving.I do not understand the way director works. It makes no sense. If I’m connecting to it in “MixRack Only” mode, it should operate (as much as possible) l…[Read more]

So, I hooked up my C1500 to the CDM32, and on the C1500 I see the show I stored. I can recall it.
Using director, whether I connect to just the MixRack or MixRack+Surface, I do not see that show. It seems to only exist on the C1500.
All products are on v1.83.

So, when I have a C1500 surface connected to a CDM32, and I store a show using the C1500 interface, is the show stored on the C1500 or within the CDM32?
I was using my C1500 with CDM32 last night, stored my show using the C1500 interface. I fired up my CDM32 this morning via director, and I don’t see my saved show.
If there are separate storage…[Read more]

Sounds like a job for Custom Control. I think you can limit range of controls using that.
-
Mr.X replied to the topic Show & Scene names on ipad in the forum dLive feature suggestions 1 month ago
And also allow scenes to be stored and recalled of course.

Mr.X replied to the topic Inputpatch in Scenes in the forum dLive General Discussions 1 month, 1 week ago
If there’s no more than 4 different inputs for each person, use the input A/B/C/D function for those channels. It’s settable per scene and per channel.

Mr.X replied to the topic Controller For DLive in the forum dLive General Discussions 1 month, 2 weeks ago
Hi Antony;
While I have your ear…
PLEASE update the MIDI protocol so EVERY function is available, or, if that’s too hard, at least release the communication protocol that’s used for Director/MixPad/CustomControl so we can implement our own external controls.

Mr.X replied to the topic MULTITRACK RECORDING ISSUE – Waves SG V3 – C1500 in the forum dLive troubleshooting 1 month, 3 weeks ago
Sounds like the same issue I had with the Dante card until I figured out that (using Dante Controller) I had to set the card to “sync from external” to allow the A&H clock to lock the Dante card.
Dunno how settings are done on the Waves card, but if there’s sync settings for the card, make sure they’re set properly. Also, make sure everything in…[Read more]

Mr.X replied to the topic Pre-Mute Aux Send in the forum dLive General Discussions 1 month, 3 weeks ago
There is no current solution, I’m suggesting a relatively simple one.
You can choose PAFL’s on MixPad, so it’s not that hard.
If you could truly limit the functions on MixPad then that would work too.
One of the main reasons I got into the dLive was because of it’s ability to have multiple PAFL buses. I just can’t use them the way I want and…[Read more]
