Hi everyone! I had yesterday a similar tone in the 8-10KHz range while copying a show for backup to the usb stick. The copy sequence interrupted with “connection to mixrack failed” twice. After just “retry” i no luck so I rebooted the surface only. Tone was gone and copying the show to the usb was successful. No tone before or after. t80/idr32/mbp with Editor 1.9 to surface network/SW 1.9. never had this issue earlier.

2013/04/08 at 6:35 pm #33653Hi, did you check the temperature inside the IDR? Perhaps built into a rack or similar with high pressure drop causing no airflow thru the IDR?? …Even if the fan is running does not necessarily mean there is enough airflow. Another thought…did you check the mains supply voltage?
2013/02/02 at 8:56 am #32946I do own a HD24 and I never been using it since I can record with DANTE. Why recording it onto a HD24 and for mix-down I have do set up again. The mix-down with a HD24 is more likely real time.
With DANTE all your recordings are ready for mix-down immediately and if you’re quick ready for within minutes. Where ever your mac is. With Logic (or several other software on the market) you have many tools for mix-down on board. From the scratch I would start with DANTE, mac and Logic. In my point of view very very cost effective and easy to learn for everyone in your team. If you can run a T122/IDR48 you can run Dante recording very easy.Cheers Mike
2013/02/01 at 6:03 pm #32938Hi! There is basically one answer only DANTE. Easy setup and up to 64 Channels. Cheers Mike

2011/12/03 at 12:19 pm #29147Hello Richard!
This sounds quite the solution I’m looking for!

This is quite tricky thing to figure out..

2011/12/03 at 10:54 am #29145Hello,
thanks for the very quick response. This is, unfortunately, not the answer I was looking for.
The solution can not be a new installation on a different computer. Not for the product’s price tag. The basic set up seems to be correct as Audio can be transfered..it is just the controller part of the firmware which is difficult to get running smoothly.
Does anyone use DANTE in combination with a MBP? Any similar experience?
I want to record next week and I do not want to run my HD24 if I own Dante.2011/12/03 at 10:09 am #29140Hello All!
Any updates on this issue as I face similar problems running Dante..?
Installed in Port B (IDR32/T80), Dante is shown in the Port B window. While watching under “Expander” is shows a message in red saying “incompatible option card”. The firmware is 1.83. When set to recording with my MBP and Logic I get all the signals, but with random clicks over all track as ddff_lv described above. The Audio signal is avaliable on all desired tracks. Further, I can NOT see or change any setup details in the controller. Obviously the major reason for having the clicks.
It simply does not show any status messages for clocking and so on…
Whether the IP config is set to manual or not. Any help for an old analog guy? Thanks to everyone including A&H for the forum. It was helpful for several questions already.
Mike2010/08/14 at 11:53 pm #26121Hi,
just from experience …make sure that you connected the ACE into the right socket at the surface…they are kinda close next to each other, even with big letters ACE….but I made it happen lately
But the firmeware update is first!
Mike2010/08/11 at 8:59 pm #26108Hi!
I was wondering about a similar situation as my scenes, established and edited in the 1.63 editor, are not “visible” at all in Version 1.7 editor. Just the ones made before, with editor version 1.63 or below.
The back up did not change the situation.
I thought about “downgrade” to editor 1.6?!Any ideas?
Btw: Thanks for all the interesting messages here in the forum
