After working on other consoles (like M32) I always go back to my SQ wishing I could just hold the view button and press IN or hold the view button and turn a knob (while having that knob movement not actually do anything besides change views). If you are already in processing view, then selecting channels and then touch screen isn’t bad, but on most other consoles, you can get to a channel’s comp or EQ in two steps, not three.. All those steps add up during soundcheck. Update this feature and let me label midi faders and the SQ will be truly great!
2021/03/02 at 11:37 am #99438+1 This would be much easier than having to always press processing. My SQ is set to have the screen follow the physical knobs, but sometimes I just want to get to say a compressor quickly without having immediately adjust the physical threshold knob or have to go through processing. I love my SQ, but even X32 has view buttons. Pressing View + the in buttons next to comp, eq, etc.. would work for me.
2021/03/02 at 11:30 am #99437+1 this is another thread for labeling and coloring midi faders. We really need this. Console tape isn’t working out very well for us in 2021
2021/03/02 at 11:26 am #99436+1 for being able to manually label and color midi faders. I personally really need this. Console tape isn’t working out for me on SQ. I’m not looking for DAW control, just to clairfy..
2021/02/23 at 9:42 am #99141We still very badly need this basic rename function. Good old fashioned console tape doesn’t work well on a multi layer digital console
2020/01/28 at 7:27 am #89128It seems as if you don’t patch the first few channels, it makes none of your patching line up. I started from a fresh show file and patched 1 to 1 and things seem to be working better now. Also, it seems as if when you patch a stereo channel, all the channels move. I think the way this system works feels odd, but hopefully I’m only setting the patch once.
2019/10/24 at 7:09 pm #87308Is there any word on this? Many of my productions really need the quick navigation that DCA spill provides. A&H obviously knows how to implement this in an update. Even Presonus offers consoles that have this.. DCA Spill and POP groups was what made the Midas Pro 1 work so well for its size. Here is to hoping that A&H continue to release “crowd pleasing” updates!
2019/08/02 at 9:10 am #85637We really need DCA Spill, especially for my SQ-5. When you have a high channel count and a small surface, DCA spill makes for much easier navigation. I’m really hoping for this more than anything else in 1.5
2019/06/18 at 2:16 am #84658I’m still hoping A&H implements DCA spill. Lots of channels on an SQ-5 is hard to mix without it. Hoping to see it in 1.5

2019/06/05 at 3:06 am #84337+1 I like that idea. For some events it could be distracting, but I’d like the option.
2019/06/03 at 9:19 pm #84310If I remember correctly, that is how the Soundcraft Vi series handles de-essers. It’s a gate or de-Esser, but not both. I also think that would be a suitable solution.
2019/06/02 at 5:45 pm #84256Ticket created. Thank you
2019/05/31 at 2:19 pm #84189Sad to see this request didn’t make the 1.4 FW. Especially for the SQ-5, we really need this for high channel count on a smaller surface.
