If you look into the reference guide of the SQ you will see that the fader assignment is stored to each scene. So the requirement of Gumby can be fulfilled by scenes also. No need to use shows.

FX: No, not at the moment. but I would prefer that the FX Parameters will be shown on FX Sends rather than FX Returns because for me the returns will always remain at 0 dB and I just work with the sends master.

P/AFL: No, not at the moment. but several users already put this on the list of feature requests. In the meantime you have to work with the phones out only.

HPF on SQ-Mixpad: you can find this on the PEQ screen of the inputs. But you have to switch to the details view. you can do this by using the white button between the meters. drag it down and you will see all the filter parameters.

Some of your wished may be fulfilled by the next feature update which hopefully coming soon.

Hmm, let‘s think about it. You connect the dSnake Connector of the SB to the first Ab168, then the second Ab via cascade to the first one. Now it is not possible to connect another device to the cascade port of the second AB. Ok, and how would you connect now the SQ to the SB? Hmmm.

I asked for a Yamaha CL5 at least but I got lots of push back due to the budget

Hmm, I think its not fair to compare a CL5 with the SQ6. The SQ6 with 48 Channels is quite fine for the size, but if you need more you have to go the dLive way which is more comparable with the CL5 or the Digico systems.

Maybe its an option for you to add a Dante Card to the SQ6. I have one and it works fine. Then you can add maybe a TIO 1608-D instead of the AB168. The only disadvantage would be that you have to control the Gains of the TIO with the PC. But I think a analog snake is nevertheless the best way.

I personally like to reset the preamps for a new show. Switch PP on only for those channels which needs it, reset the gain to „zero“. In fact thestageboxes do remember their previous settings and i want to bring them into an initial state.
And I think that there is still a lot of work waiting for us on every job.

You can use the AR2412 and the Ab168 together. But then you cannot use the AR84. So you can use 40 inputs and 20 outputs on the stage. I used the combination of the AR2412 and the AB168 severalt times with my SQ6 before I got the two DX168/X.

Other vendors let you adjust the delays on the output sockets. This is the most flexible way because you can adjust the delay not only for both sides separately. You also can realized mor complicated delay lines without burning down all your matrices.
Sad that A&H goes the other way.

You need a direct connection from the SQ to the AR2412 and one to connect the AR84 to the AR2412 expander port.

I am not talking about the patching itself but about setup gain and, most important, the phantom power. That you cannot do without the connected stageboxes.

ad 1) I use a test song instead of pink noise. This helps me to control the system in a more musical way. But ok, different persons, different workflows. and a system like the dLive should support differen workflows;-)
