I’ll have to check – but I thought I tried it and it didn’t do anything.

I have a similar problem – New SQ6, wanting to be able to do Virtual Soundchecks. I have a copy of Studio One Artist installed along with the ASIO driver. I set it up to record 32 tracks during a practice and after a period of time, it shut down Studio One with errors. Unfortunately someone else closed the program and said there was some kind of error about Computer not keeping up.

All that said – I’m interested in this subject trying to determine if it may be my computer.

Also, I may attempt to download Reaper and give that a try.

I hope they didn’t resolve this offline and not post the results here on the forum.

    Greetings,

In order for me (and other users) to learn the SQ6 at our church I set up a Layer that looked just like the Old Board we used previously. (mine happens to be E).

Next to The E activation button – I put a White with Black lettering label which says “Service Layer” with an arrow pointing to E.

I also added a similar label to Point to the “L/R”(mains Output)

I would suggest you maybe create a Simple layer – with Pulpit/Lecturn/wireless mic’s/ etc. Basically the minimum you would need to run their event.

As far as Quick Access to a set up – Scenes are your best bet – Set up a Basic Scene for general use which they can recall or you can recall. (Set it up as #1 on the list). Now that said, you as the experienced sound tech needs to save your current settings in a Scene so you can get back to where you left it.

I do not know of any way to Lock out Layers.
The one button softkey may be able to recall a Scene – but I’m not 100% sure.

    Hope that helps.

Thanks all – As time allows I now have a direction to try new things with the SQ6 and Studio One.

Ok – Back to the SQ6 and sure enough if you select a channel and go to Processing then to library you can save all Channel settings. Where I was having problems was – I was in the EQ or Comp screen and you pull up a separate library for each individual attribute.
Every day I learn with this thing.

    Thanks Again.

Greetings – I’m new around here and after doing a few searches have not found what I’m looking for. I have an SQ6. Is there a way to Store all the channel parameters in a library entry or must I store EQ, Compressors, gates and Pre-amps in different libraries?

Also, Is there a way to preview a setting before you dump it into a channel?
(I liked this feature on the Presonus 32 channel board I’m transitioning from)

    Thanks in advance.
    So much to learn.
    Mike
