An entirely pre-digital insert could be placed between the preamp and ADC, but of course then the insert would be tied to the socket, not the channel!

Even if you could decode audio and video separately, how would you ensure audio and video stay in sync? Best carry on decoding it at the PC and get yourself a better sound card if the 3.5mm connection lacks reliability or quality.

Looking at the manual, the meters are in dBFS, and the last green LED is at around -10dBFS. 0dB on the Qu meters is at -18dBFS, so you have plenty of headroom to structure your gain hotter.

Can you not feed your sub mix full range? I’m assuming you have some sort of speaker management if you have a dLive..

I suspect that DJ requirements are very different from what Qu offers. As DJ mixers are in effect performance devices, they’d need to be a lot more responsive! Xone 43 is an analogue mixer. Only DB series are digital, and those have very limited remote capabilities. DJ afterthoughts on Qu would be very lacklustre for serious DJs. Just go out and buy that Xone 43.

At home I use a TC Electronic BMC-2. Suitable for my purposes, but I admit it has a strange complement of connections!
