Have you considered setting the pastor’s mic to post fader?

All tools from the same toolbox. It looks like a fine mixer. A competent engineer should be versed in more than on board.

I have mic’ed literally hundreds of upright basses and Dick is right. We used the mic in the towel for years with good results. For the past five or six years we have used the Audio-Technica PRO 35 Cardioid Condenser Clip-on Instrument Microphone. It is clipped onto the Bass in the f-hole and pointed at the body. It works great.

I did that once. I set up a custom layer a couple of weeks before the festival. Everything was working fine until the first act took the stage. Suddenly, I was in panic mode. I switched to a different layer like you did and mixed from there. We all make mistakes. And, I don’t think I’ll ever make that one again!

Well, there is a big difference in size (and price). The extreme has more network ports. It also has a USB port that you can use for a hard drive and do wireless backups of your computer. It also has a wider range. I use an extreme at home because it is powerful enough to reach the basement where my son has his play station but I use the express with the Qu. Its small size is convenient and it has plenty of range. I’ve never had any issues with it even at outdoor events where things tend to be spread out a bit more.

    Greetings from Minnesota, USA
I use an Apple Airport Express with my Qu, my Presonus mixer and My MOTU 1248. It has never let me down. One reason, is it uses both 2.4 and 5gHz bands. They cost $100. More than some but worth it in my opinion.

The statement about “third more powerful app” is interesting but can you trust a guy in a Riddler Costume?

I designed my first mixer over forty years ago when I was nineteen. It wasn’t much, basic volume, treble, bass and mid controls based on the TI8081 op amp. I’ve worked mainly as a live sound monitor engineer for the past thirty years or so. My main gig is as a software engineer in a completely unrelated field. I do both on a part-time basis now days. I have both Qu and StudioLive mixers but my current interest is AVB and Dante.

I could never get just a stereo recording from the main L/R Buss. I guess if you add enough channels to your recording you will eventually have them all including the main out but I just wanted a stereo recording I could quickly burn to disk.

I’ve never been able to record anything besides channels 1&2 to audacity. I found a MP4 recorder that does the job for $20. The interface is a little hokey but it does the job. With it, you can choose any channel pair you want.

No rails required for the Gator GMIX-1921-8-TSA
That piece of tape on the inside of the lid is just to hold the key in case I ever need it.

CK, It was a legitimate question. Faders go up and faders go down. It’s not rocket surgery.

I see from your history that you have asked quite a few questions on this forum. Try not to be such a dick and maybe the people who actually know what they are doing will continue to answer.

    Have a nice day.

Just wondering why you need to mute the mains when you could just pull the main fader down. As a practical matter, the newer DBX DriveRacks have mute buttons.

Are you referring to the headphones plugged in to your iPhone or plugged in to the mixer?
