    Question about the GPIO workaround:

But first the why – We have a DSP for our mains that we want to have failovers for. Dante is primary transport but we want to be able to do AES3 an analog as backup. I finally got our GPIO’s we purchased a few years back tied into our system and set up to trigger the changes in our Q-Sys DSP.

I was a bit dismayed when I started trying to set up the triggers. I figured that it would be easy to set up a softkey to trigger a GPIO contact closure, but it is not. I ended up taking over 1 single channel and using select, mix, and mute as options, and then triggering those same functions via softkey. But this is not really ideal for us.

If we could trigger a GPIO with a softkey only, that would be amazing. I’m willing to try the filter scene recall but I am unsure how that would work.

    Bump. 😀

But seriously, we were able to acquire an IP8 and can find other uses, but I still would love to be able to use it as a dedicated controller for adjusting a mix to our broadcast matrix out.

Myself and a local friend who also uses dLive have been having this issue. My friend, who is further along the support chain then I is in the process of hard factory resetting the mixrack, and then starting with a new show file from scratch. My best guess is there is some corruption in the show file established during one of the 1.8 updates.
I’m prepping to start from scratch with ours as I work with support on the issue.

    MIDI faders would be AWESOME.

I was about to purchase an IP8 for the ability to use it as a mix control. We have a broadcast mix where a bunch of groups, and a few inputs, are run to a matrix mix. It was only last night that I sat down and tried to program it, only to realize it’s not going to do what I need it to. Very disappointing. I can’t justify the cost until this feature has been added. :-/

What I imagined was either that a set of faders could be set to control to a pre-determined mix, or that I would hit a softkey on the IP8 and all the faders would become “sends on fader”
